    Does anyone knows the answer for this :
    Find the magnitude of anti-clock wise couple M to be applied at D so
    that reaction at F will be 35kN upwards. Also find the reaction at
    support B for beam shown.
    Figure: 6 points from A - F .B is hinge supported and F is roller supported.
    Forces at
    point B vertically downward (15kN) at distance 0.5m from A
    point c vertically downward (20kN) at distance 1.5m from A
    At point D, no forces marked and D is 2m from A.
    point E vertically downward (15kN) at distance 2.5m from A
    point F at distance 3.5m from A and has roller support .
    Can anybody tell the procedure for finding couple D ?

    Sir maine moment b point se apply Kiya par mera Resultant ka value 10.09 arhaa hai aur apka 11.409 and tita value bhi differ ho raha hai mera 31.54 aya aur apka 40 aya hai.

      For sigma Fx :- 10cos30° - Rbh = 0
      For sigma Fy :- Ra - 10sin30° -12 + Rbv = 0 => Ra + Rbv = 17
      For momentum at point B :- 5 - 12×7 - 10sin30°×11 + Ra×14 = 0
      • Answers :--
      Ra = 6 KN
      Rbv = 11 KN
      Rbh = 8.660 KN
      Rb = 13.99 KN
      Angle(theta) = 51.78°

      Because it is in form of couple.... So whenever we r adding couple during calculation of moment we don't multiply with the distance.....
      Though I think you got the answer cause I can see you raised this question 2 months back.... But still thought to answer you..
