As a female I love it! I love the brightness and realistic mandarin. It’s also long lasting for a citrus and it just goes and goes! I find it so sexy on my husband as well. Heck I even spray it in the air just to smell it haha! And it will fill a room!
Greenley kills it and gets me tons of compliments. Perseus is pretty good, but to much like Terre de Hermes with some Percival for me (both of which I already own).

PDM Perseus smells great and it lingers on my skin all day long. It isn’t as aromatic as I’ll like it to be, but it’s great. Idk why people keep comparing this to Tier Hermes because they are nothing alike. Another great grapefruit fragrance is Roja Parfums Elysium Parfum cologne

This combination is not groundbreaking BUT its longevity is absolutely amazing. The freshness lasts literally all day. Highly recommended for hot summer days.
The only one I want to try is the OFG Neo just cause I really like OFG and if I like it I don't think I'll get it until it's available on discounters, I 'm not interested in this one or Althaïr I'm bored of these more of the same money grabbers, I don't fall for it. I don't think that they care about Maison Alhambra, they're doing pretty good with their fragrances, PDM is very popular but I could be wrong. I love your reviews Sebastian, even if I don’t own the fragrance. I do not own many Parfume de Marly except for Delina, Oriana and Valaya, which are all relative to women. However, I do own a few Middle Eastern perfumes, but do not own nor have smelled Perseus. Thanks again for all you do for us fragrance lovers.
I think I saw Vetiver Pamplemousse boxes in Zara stores in Spain last December. The German website right now does not have it, but says "Coming soon". Imho Vetiver Pamplemousse is among the very best fragrances Zara has ever released. Among my very top from Zara to say the least, together with Warm Black, Antique Brown, Vibrant Leather EDP, and Vibrant Leather Cologne.
I do definitely get what you’re saying about the Vetiver /Citrus. I already have two of them. Hugo Boss Reversed. I wonder if Elysium is somewhat similar??? Sebastian could you please review Blue Talisman. It’s getting quite a bit of hype lately.
I sampled this recently while checking a series of citrusy fragrances before summer. On the same day I tried Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic. Very different, but the Guerlain is much more what I'm looking for out of a citrus. Perseus to me is citrus for someone who goes to work and spends the day in an air conditioned place. Serious, and citrus gives way to wood. Guerlain is a citrus scent for someone who wants to go out, airy, natural, and fresh green. I know these two fragrances are like comparing Mandarins to Grapefruits 😬, but I'll happily accept when my preferences points me to the cheaper option.
Perseus by PdM smells awkwardly similar to Hermes Terre D'Hermes. By the way, it was great meeting you at Van Cleef event at NM, what was your favorite from them?
Sampled it in Nordstrom’s and expected to be WOWED!! The bottle is beautiful, the weather would be perfect for what the notes suggest, and in the end…. Meh. Just meh. I know that I wouldn’t be reaching for it over Greeley or Percival so I walked away saddened due to my own way too high expectations
Tried it and wasn't blown away, but I think all PDM perfumes, especially male targeting ones, need a lot of time to emancerate to start lasting longer and smelling better
Hello Sebastian why I haven’t bought it yet- Expensive price, seems somewhat redundant, PD fragrances not that beefy anymore like they use too ( not all of them) and can find cheaper alternatives like you said Zara one and NR Vetiver Musc.
Any PdM from discounters only! I haven’t gotten my nose on Perseus at all, but my guess is I’ll feel it redundant between my variations of TdH, and a bunch of very bright citruses - including shockingly long lasting ones from Xerjoff and Kerosene, both! Byerly sounds good, and is well discounted apparently, but I’ll likely find it sold out by the time I would decide and budget for it.
It has that nasty bitter grapefruit opening like D&G Italian Love? Like rubbing grapefruit peel on your skin and really goes nowhere from there. So disappointed in this. Love your content, thanks for keeping us up to date. ❤
PDM’s Perseus is an excellent fragrance. It’s long lasting and a compliment beast. Even my golf buddies like it. LOL My wife loves it on me as well AND she’s picky as hell LOL It’s orange aspects pop on my skin and then becomes very calming on the drydown. I just hope most will try by giving it at least two full day wears. It’ll surprise you in spite of what most influencers are saying. And, Sebastian, I do hope you give it a wear in heat, then come back to us with an update. Cheers

I agree it’s somewhat unremarkable, but very uplifting, pleasant and has a bit of its own character. I must confess I bought bought Byerly a while back (based on your recommendation) and hated it. I love vetiver, but there’s some note that’s sour and off putting in Byerly. Much prefer Perseus! Interesting that I find Althair to be meh (boring) in the same way you describe Perseus. So many SWY type of frags out there; Just shows everyone brings their own olfactory preferences, don’t they? 😅
Nobody talks about Byerley, which is a shame, because it's one of my favorites from PdM. Sad to hear it has been discontinued. Not sure why they would release something similar to Terre d'Hermes (actually I suspect more like Montale Red Vetiver) while discontinuing the stellar Byerley (massively underrated IMO) is beyond me...gotta be about $ales, I suppose.

@@dru812002 Imo Terre dHermes Parfum is better than Perseus. Although TDH Parfum has more of the orange and not the grapefruit citrus, I really do consider Perseus to be heavily inspired by TDH. Perhaps try both so that you can choose the best option for yourself. This summer I’m gonna try layering TDH Parfum and Eau Givree.
This one smells exactly like Nishane Hacivat, in the dry down, but Pegasus is just stronger. Opening is very citrus heavy and unfortunately it’s a scent I’m not going to buy, it’s just not that exciting.
Same have 15 too and I remember their 4.2’oz’s were going for full pres around 160 glad I was able to buy most of the ones I like. I do want to snag Althair very pleasant idk about the 225-250 price tag for it though. 180 would be justified, Perseus is mid and a hard pass.!

I understand your opinion - although I’m a digger for fresh citrusy scents especially the grapefruit + Vetiver combination, this one is slightly boring. If this scent had some oomph/complexity (eg some florals or aromatics or other aroma chemicals in the heart), it would’ve been much more interesting.
I love it man it so good! These people will lie like hell. People complain about anything they get on my dam nerves. Love perseus opening so good and that drydown oh man so good. I'm glad they brought something different

It’s not bad, honestly. I smelled it twice at Le Bon Marche and wore it once. It’s okay, not exciting but it’s fine for $140-150. At $400 it’s a joke.

I got a sample of it from Saks. I enjoyed it but possibly too expensive for what it is. But if I got it as a gift from my husband I'd surely be happy.
I ordered a sample of Perseus. My favourite Parfums de Marly perfume for hot weather is definitely Galloway.
Definitely better in the warm weather, projects so much better.
And today, I layered this with Habit Rouge Privé. Just wow! Incredible!

Perseus leans masculine in my opinion but I love it and I am enjoy it …..loving my mystery box 3 samples…outstanding box ❤️

What would you choose between Perseus and Eau Givree?
Eau Givree is more natural smelling whereas Perseus has greater longevity but smells synthetic.

Talking about PDM, I wore greenley today- it was great in the air, horrible on my skin. Wore it today got tons of compliments 🤣- I can’t wear it again

If this scent had some oomph/complexity (eg some florals or aromatics or other aroma chemicals in the heart), it would’ve been much more interesting.
This one is boring got a 10ml and got so bored on the dry down I prefer Roja Elysium over this All day long !
