      Thanks for your input! I’m thinking of going over some more advanced techniques in a series, where I go in to depth on one specific technique at a time

    What brand/model do you recommend?

      Generally for beginners I like to recommend a glazeryn harp or a potkin. They are both affordable and produce a good sound. The harp in this video is a glazeryn compass. My personal favorite is the Estonian parmupill, though.

    I make drone ambient music via electric guitar might a cool way to make some new drones than process them in some effects

    Are there different types of jaw harps? Do they sound very different

    • @boingmusic4164
      @boingmusic4164  2 года назад +2

      Yes! Different regions around the world make different styles of jawharps, and mouth instruments in general. Some are made for deep resonance in meditation and some are made to sing harmonics in a beautiful melody

    Love this Boioioioioioioioing at 2:36-3:19! The sound effects on your jaw harp include: Spring, bounce, boing, etc are so much fun when you are playing it while moving your tongue!

    Love the video, been watching you on tiktok and you've inspired to get one of these. Just got it today and I love it already. One question tho,, at 5:53 how do you get that clicking sound coming out of it? I've tried messing around but can't seem to get it 😅

    • @boingmusic4164
      @boingmusic4164  2 года назад +5

      So that clicking sound is actually a tongue click! I’m putting the tip of my tongue down so that the middle of my tongue is perpendicular to the reed. Then I pluck the harp so that the reed smacks my tongue and creates a click sound😊

      @@boingmusic4164 That's great to know! That's much better than smacking my lip to make the click noise and then bleeding

      Does the size of the jaw harp matter I have a much smaller one than the one tou are playing and I'm struggling to get any changes out of the sound ito different pitch and resonance
