This is one of the best explanations I've heard about balance, changes and rider responsibility. What is shocking is how few views there are, when a silly reining show can garner thousands upon thousands of views. My bit of inspiration for the day! Thank you.

I've been riding dressage for years, and thought I understood about horse mechanics . The canter has always been my challenge, and it took me a while to know when to ask for the required lead.
This is the best, most understandable explanation I've ever heard regarding change of lead.

A lead change is a diagonal change … pretty simple! Thanks for you explanation.

The first flying change is not correct, so is the third one and a couple of next ones (mostly the change from left to right (look at it again- the hind has to change before the front, essentially pushing it out of the way) One should not explain things, that one can not do!

Says the guy who demonstrates a piaffe that isn't a piaffe and "in hand" work that causes a tense back. He may not have had enough impulsion for "perfection", but honestly. Just *why*?🙄😬
