Things have changed from the old Carpenter/Wells from when I graduated in 1983. It was MUCH more spartan then. We didn't even have air conditioning. We loved it.
carpenter wells no longer looks like this.....I currently reside here and its horrible! 1) The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your roomates are doing and your neighbors are doing. 2) The inside of the apartment is really old and the lights are super dim. Basically feels like youre walking into a haunted house 24/7 even with all the lights on. 3) The outside area is no longer nice green grass, instead its dirt and most of the grass is dead. 4) I call it the pigeon house because of all the pigeons that live and sleep around the apartments. The pigeons poop everywhere and it looks disgusting. 5) You figure that since they only allow sophomore and upper level students to live here that it would be kept nicely and somewhat clean but NO! Most of the time students leave their trash on the outside of the trashcans and do not bother to pick it up, leaving it smelling like complete trash some days. All in all carpenter wells is horrible unless youre used to living in these conditions already and dont mind everything i just mentioned. For the money i pay to reside here it is not worth it. Really disappointed that the school continues to push this video to incoming students as if this is what it looks like. I would suggest getting an apartment off campus. Hopefully this review helps someone coming to Tech.
I’m in murdough and pass by there on a daily basis, it seems like most of those problems are fixed but obviously I don’t live there so idk about the inside.
