as a non-theater kid, just seeing you in your element and surrounded by such a present and loving community was so heartwarming!! (and also just impressed by how many friends you have hahah)
"Friends" is my sitcom comfort show but yeah it always makes me feel nostalgic, mainly because I grew up in tandem with the cast since I was around the same age as they were in the show in real time, so it makes me think of my 20's and how time has flown by and you wonder how that happened. lol
I’ve seen HIMYM a million times - it’s my favourite sit com… I cry every time… especially now that I’m about to turn 27 knowing I’ll be the same age as them in SEASON 1 it’s crazy. Such a good show
You and your friends are so talented! It’s also so impressive how big your friend group is and how often you all get together. I have the hardest time getting my friends together. We have to book out at least a month in advance lol
I was in Legally Blonde this past summer I played Pilar and seeing y’all have so much fun performing it and seeing how talented y’all are was so nostalgic to me I almost cried
Hi Alexis! If you’re worried about your meat not being cooked buy a food thermometer! Honestly it saves me everytime from the worry 😂 couldn’t recommend them more!
I am NOT a musical theatre enthusiast at all but watching you sing and your rehearsal… I would DEFINITELY come to see you act and sing !!! You are good !!!! 😍 seriously I’m shocked 😅 I m proud to « know » you now lol That’s it that’s what I wanted to share - I will finish the video now 🫶❤️
I can sooo relate to the whole winter and cold feeling worse and getting so existential and emotional with the end of television series. My biggest ones were friends, Gilmore Girls, and Mash (years ago).
I feel you. As a freelance designer I spend days in front of he screen but I always make sure go to my gym classes for a break. I really love them, the classes, not the gym 😊 And it’s so impressive to see you and your friends doing the musical reading. You are so talented. It’s going to be a good year ❤
I love these vlogs... I appreciate the hours you put into them... and it's not existential in a bad way - do you know how rare it is for people to appreciate that their now is also their history... props to you for recognising it, processing it, and seeing it as a positive... but the way 27 going on 28 is sooooo young, remember to breathe, let go, and be here, now - oh and Psych is my favourite show ever
I love sitcoms also and I always cry when I finish my comfort shows. For me it’s the thought of how the cast has been working together for so long creating such a great show and so many memories and then all of sudden that is over and they have to go their separate ways. I don’t know but I also hate the lead up to the last episode because you know what’s going to come
Sitcoms makes me so emotional too like why was I about to cry with you?! It’s just crazy to think about how you’ll look back at these days and truly realize how great they really were 😭
Space heaters use a significant amount of electricity, typically drawing between 750 and 1,500 watts, which can significantly increase your electric bill if used for extended periods, especially when compared to other household appliances; essentially, they are considered one of the most energy intensive appliances in the house.
nope you're not lying.. every winter seems to be bit more challenging. As i am watching this vlog on monday morning january 20th 2025 we just had what seems to be like 6 to 8 inches of snow. When I was a little kid back in the day, I use to love winter and the snow, but as a 30 something year old I just find that winter especially here in NYC can be such a ughhhh challenge the bitter cold and the snow 😅
YUP I did the artists way last year! Its a 12 week program! Just gotta commit to the bit! Also important to note: it's amazing to do the Artist Way with a mini group was incredible and helped keep me accountable -- so what we did is we met every week on Monday for 1.5 hours to discuss the reading and our experience and the exercises and pages and such -- HIGHLY suggest also getting the morning pages book and activities book with The Artists Way -- changed my life! -- I just had to get over the idea of trying to do it "perfectly" and having friends to do it with helped me with that because it created momentum :) Lowkey would also be an incredible weekly series to do!
I love sitcoms but also hate the last season! We become so attached to the characters, it's almost as if they are a part of our friend group and we know we are going to miss them! You are living your good old days, but you should be so proud of the way you are doing it! You are totally living a great New York adventure! Thanks for bringing us along! Also...LOVED the musical reading! Such a group of talented friends, so fun!
loved hearing all the details in your "how much youtube paid me" video! i'm really trying to grow my channel this year so appreciate all the tips. and congrats on your notion video popping off!!!
I really enjoyed this episode. Love love love the content about your acting/dancing/performing life- I am not a performer, but love the arts and it's very interesting to watch. Also, you should try the curly girl method for your wavy hair. My hair also only really gets wavy in humid conditions, but I just learned about the curly girl method like a month or so ago and it's been life-changing- I had no idea how much potential my hair had.
@@alexiseldredge It definitely takes some trial and error to find a version of it that works for you. I keep tweaking it and each time gets better than the last. :)
It's so sunny in NY, I wish I could say the same for Michigan! I just hate the cold too, but I think it's not as bad as what it use to be..lol Love Olive and Bennett. I LOVE Chomps, and I bought a Olipop Cream Soda, but haven't tried it yet. The spare room looks great, I love it. I bet Olive and Bennett will love it too once they are not so confused.
I only ever watch the last season of shows once, to know how it ends, after that every time I rewatch I rewatch up until the last season cause I don’t need to be balling my eyes out all the time 😅
Love the table read activity-great creative outlet/endeavor! Re: financial stuff-wondering if you’ve ever taken the total number of hours you spend filming and editing divided into the total revenue you get from RUclips, even including sponsorship deals? In other words, calculating your “hourly wage”. Could be interesting to see.
My kitties are about olives age. It’s constant wrestlemania around here. Then they go back to making out aka cuddling and grooming. It’s going to snow in Philly today so excited for them to go extra crazy. Go Birds! 🦅
I don' know if you have that possibility in NY, but in Montreal, with the electricity company, we pay the same amount each month during the year to avoid the expensive cost during winter months. Our winter months can get very cold. They make an average amount by months every year and adjust it with our electricity consumption. To give you an idea it cost us around 100$ Canadian per month for a whole year for a 2 bedrooms apartment, 2 adults and 1 kid. Very eco energy wise at that price to give you an idea. Even before moving we can ask on their site the amount of electricity pay by the person before. Another way to make some save is to have a thermostat to control your heat during day and night. Day you should be around 69F when your home, during night or when you're not there, it should be around 64F. If you have heat in every rooms you should be okay. If not, it means you have draft from your entry door or windows. Closing doors of unused rooms can make a huge difference. Maybe it just a financial adjustment for you and Emily.
“It looked like they were made by Thomas Edison himself” LOL girl you had me laughing out loud! Lmao!! Also recommend a heated blanket if you’re cold during the winter!!
Good luck, Alexis, on the part-time job. Hopefully, you get it. I really hate this cold weather. I'm in hibernation. Being in Ohio my whole life, you'd think I'd be used to it, but no, I'm not brrr cant wait til spring to get here.
This is amazing- I just started the artist's way last week. A very different experience from the first time I did it 20 years ago, but still good. You will love it, enjoy! ❤
Your income video was epic - one of my favs the info and editing was 🔥 I’m sad rocket money is NOT available to Canadians :( eye twitching and dizziness can be associated with dehydration as well as magnesium deficiency - maybe get blood work done to check all your vitamins and mineral levels - take breaks Alexis set a timer 5 minutes every hour - use that time to hydrate and stretch - take care of yourself - another great vlog! ❤😊 Happy Sunday Alexis 😊
that sucks for the heating issue 😕 i have baseboard heating and it’s super warm and it’s fueled by gas, so it’s free/included in the rent. just depends on where you go i guess.
Re/ fish cat food: It's not the best for cat's long term. He probly likes it because it smells more enticing. I recommend adding whole sardines in water to his food. Or freeze dried minnows. Boy cats are more prone to urinary issues and dry food and fish can accelerate issues.
So much to be grateful for ! Stay positive :) You may find you and your friends can produce your own work ( producer, writer, acting coach here). Another great book ( so many on acting) is Acting from a Spiritual Perspective ( inspiration) and anything Michale Chekov( he is also very movement based). EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL!
When you stop watching other content because Alexis uploaded a new vlog... P.S. I actively avoid rewatching last seasons of my favorite shows. Currently, I'm avoiding Big Bang Theory.
sending much love to everyone in LA affected by the wildfires. thinking of you all and doing what i can to support ❤🩹

you and your friends are so talented!!!! omg you should have a whole youtube channel just doing the musicals haha! so cool!
thank you! omg that would be such a fun idea for a channel

it’s soooo fun
So many iconic things in just one vlog! The musical reading, the room makeover, all the chats, even the camara fall...😅 loved this one!
I love your voice and seeing your musical/dancing/acting side. What a cool idea to do with friends when you all have a common interest and skillset. ❤

The play table read is so fun! You have a beautiful voice.
I feel you on sitcom endings!! It's like a whole little world ending. I particularly felt those feels during the last season of parks & rec

the eye twitch and dizziness could be a vitamin deficiency, possibily iron. great video ❤
interesting, good to know!
Try magnesium supplements for the eye twitch. Worked for me!
