I'm a black female who isn't goth and would rather wear a black dress than a white one because I feel insecure that a white one would draw attention away from me and white make me feel darker than I actually am. Also in some countries, black shows the beginning of a new life and white symbolizes death (where my families history originated from anyway). BTW THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GOTH!!

But Melody's mom wanted something for her daughter and realised that her daughter is not happy with it and was willing to change her wishes. That's love.

Melody’s fitting made me tear up cause everyone was just soo supportive and in aw when she walked in. That’s exactly how it should be. She looked stunning.

With the tattoos the black dress really balances and softens and elevates her overall look and made her radiate with more happiness! I didn’t think the white version did that for her. I’m glad she stuck to her wanting the black dress, it really suits her and makes her look great!

I like the belt because it gives the dress more detail and its hard to see detail in a black dress. It doesnt look tacky to me because the design seems more intricate and has black it doesnt look like silver rhinestoney

I wore a black wedding dress!! My husband loved it!! We had a Gothic shabby chic Victorian wedding! A white dress just wouldn't have looked right .... not to mention it's not my style to wear white. Everyone I knew kept asking me if I was wearing white, and I wouldn't tell them ;) Only my maid of honor, mom, dad, and husband knew it was going to be black. It's a shame they don't have more variety with alternative color's, because I ALWAYS WANTED a lace dress. I'm just a lace type of girl .... but there was no black lace dresses unless I got it custom .... which is a big risk since you don't get to see your dress till a few months before ..... and if you don't end up liking it your screwed!! I ended up with a style dress I never thought I would like, but ended up falling in love with it, and amazingly it actually came in black as well!! But if I could have gotten a black lace wedding gown I would have in a heart beat!!

That black dress is beyond stunning. My god, black color for that material made the black look so deep and rich. Loved it! And Barbara's $4000 shoes OMG, they were so glamorous. The most beautiful heels I have ever seen in my life. I'm sure she felt like a celebrity just wearing those shoes. Seems like something that a celeb would wear on the Red Carpet.

The "shoe bride" was just paying for the name. I have a pair of Badgley Mischka shoes that are identical to those that I paid less than $100 for because I got them at an outlet store. Some people have more money than they have sense.

@@reptiqueen7275 I actually ended up wearing my jazz shoes, but no one questioned it at all. That ground was uneven and compacted in a weird way that I would've died wearing heels.
I had cute heels for the ceremony ($40 or $50 I think) and a pair of satin ballet style slippers for the reception. Yup, literally slippers. Very comfy.

Just have a less expensive wedding. My friends all had wedding dresses for $500 or less. You could also just go to the courthouse. Or rent a hall and get an up and coming food truck to cater the food.
