Did the opposite trip on my BMW in mid may 2022. Bucket list ride to Vancouver Island from Edmonton through Jasper, stopped in Clearwater too, Kamloops Lilloett Pemberton, Squamish Nanaimo Campbell River Quadra Island, then Victoria Hope Princeton, Creston, Banff and back to Edmonton. 3500 kms round trip. Simply awsome
funny story i worked on the crew that built that timmies and buy lows in clearwater! loved that little town, we also did the save on foods in kimberley! we went to Our Place for lunch everyday their eggs benedict are to die for, i love kimberley! this was an awesome video and brought back some great memories!
Just found your channel, and I really find it interesting .Your hubby looks shy of the camera to me but definitely you guys looks cute together. Cheers from Africa
thank you and welcome to the group 🥰🥰🥰 hahaha yeah cameras aren’t for everyone for sure 😁 keeping the memories is awesome though! all the best to half way around the globe 🤩
Planning a 4 day trip and bumped into your Channel and funny enough I have a Softail slim. That said I won’t be in Albert but I wanted thoughts on how the slim did without fairing. Have a good sissy bar rack to lean back on. But no windscreen. Also have a saddle man seat. Almost same set up as the slim jn the video
Hello Corinna, firstly congratulations on the success of your channel, your videos are charming and the landscapes are surreal. One question, I intend to do the itinerary: Toronto/Banff/Hope/Arctic Cycle this year, do you think the cost of fuel, food and accommodation will reach C$10,000 dollars? Thank you very much and take care 🤜🏻🤛🏻
hey hey :) thank you so much!!! and thank you for watching 🥰 That sounds like an amazing trip! hard to tell though regarding cost. it depends on where you want to stay during this trip and what you want to eat and how long you intend on being on the road for. If high luxury hotel and steaks everyday is the answer, might get close. if the answer is more regular hotels (or even camping) and regular sandwiches etc is the answer, then you won’t spend that :) hope that helps! keep the rubber side down :)
I still have to explore eastern Canada! haven’t made it there yet 😩 There are so many beautiful rides throughout Canada. definitely feeling lucky and grateful!
@@CorinnaHaimerl I'm originally and currently reside in Ontario. I've spent a lot of time out there in various places and I'm a truck driver. I'm not sure if I picked up you live in Kelowna? If it's still there I worked at Codfathers for awhile in the 90's. As a matter of fact. When I left the area in 2001 I started my trucking career. I'll be out on my bike when time and funds permit. It's constantly on my brain. I took that free ferry from Nelson with a big truck. So I've done those bends pulling a Super B lol

@@CorinnaHaimerl 😄😄 I wouldn't imagine so. I drive 30 minutes to work on the highway and I'm like, ok, I'm not really having fun anymore. 😂 Sure does look good without it though.
Since we were traveling there by car, a black bear had chased me onto the car. Luckily there was still a high roof rack on it. Who knows how I would have fared with the motorcycle 🤔
@@CorinnaHaimerl I filmed and zoomed in until I saw my feet. He was probably too close 🤔 I saved myself backwards onto the hood, but he got up and wanted to fish me down. He couldn't climb on sheet metal. We had a VW Beetle at home back then, so things could have turned out differently. Then we camped for the whole tour, after the experience even more thrills 🤗
uff good question 😅 not quite sure anymore on how much exactly. But as we were going in an off season, we were roughly at 150-200 CAD per night. Some where paid by credit card points 😁
@@CorinnaHaimerl That is exactly what I am seeing; ridiculous motel rates. In the Alps, I can get a luxurious room with a view in the Dolomites (Arabba) that comes with a buffet breakfast for €55 and with dinner for €70 per night. Whats that, about CA$105 for a room with a buffet breakfast and dinner. Try to get that in "greedy" Canada.
