The fact that they made Tiny Kong taller than her older sister Dixie is actually very similar to how they made Luigi taller than his older brother Mario, I guess Nintendo wanted to go with That dynamic when they decided to redesign Tiny.

Well based off the comments, the newer Tiny seems far more popular. But idk, I greatly prefer the small, cute, non-sexualized Tiny. She was tomboyish and tough, a stark contrast to her size. She was also my favorite kong to play as in 64. *shrugs*

Dixie existed before Tiny, so it sort of seemed that Tiny was the "replacement" for a while, (People wondered why they created a similar new character for DK64 instead of using Dixie again) but Dixie's been used more often in recent games. Their excuse for the similarity is "They're siblings." :)

It's probably because they want Mario to be the highest with having more characters than every series to enter Smash Bros., and Pokemon to be the second highest. Between the Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem, I do not know if they're tied or one has more characters than the other in Smash Bros. Ultimate. Out of the Nintendo best-selling, Mario is one, Pokemon is two, and I think the Legend of Zelda is three.

No Dixie is more prominent to the DK lore. She Co-starred in DK country 2 and starred as the main character in DK country 3. Besides the exception of DK64 she has been in every Donkey Kong game ever since.

I think tiny was destined to get bigger because she has no tail. All the other Kong's with no tails seemed to be bigger in size. Tiny was probably a late bloomer thus the name tiny.
I get a curvy redesign, what I don't get is why they went out of their way to design her like that and only use her in that design for only 3 minor games.

So weird: in SSBU, her spirit is still the debut one, whereas Brawl do shows the mature apparence of her.
