Thankyou very much. Thus we should observe the 7th day Sabbath (Saturday) if we want to be biblical...for sure. Thankyou for this information. If we call ourselves christians we HAVE TO do as He ask and the example Jesus set to us.
REMEMBER the Sabbath day to keep it holy.. The 7th day, Saturday is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. His Holy day. His seal in our hearts and in our minds.
I love the last chapter in the Bible it's revelation 22 and verse 14 says blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of Life and may enter in through the gates into the City! I love that whole chapter so much that I memorized it! Love and blessings as we read God's Word
Amen, god Bless you. Rev 12:17: "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Rev 14:12: "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." 1Jn 2:3-6: "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." 1Jn 5:3-5: "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"
thank you, I love God's commandments, think about how much better this world would be if we follow God's word and law, but I know that's the way it will be in Heaven
You do realize he is laying a foundation to defend Sunday as the Sabbath right? I’m here to go through his entire presentation and see if it’s a legit case or not.

@@mitchellosmer1293 Essentially, what they believe is that God established the first day as the Sabbath in creation (1st day for Adam and Eve since they were created on God’s 6th day, and that it was only the 7th day for God). Then, when Moses gave the law, they kept in on the 7th day to model God’s rest. Then, they say that when Jesus resurrected, it re-establishes the first day as the Sabbath, through his “finished work” on the cross. This is the Presbyterian position (First Day Sabbatarianism).

Thank you for the message. The great thing about spiritual things is you don’t need a PhD to find the truth. It’s easy to count to seven. Over 100 languages call Saturday “Sabbath.” Blessings to you!
A very important and deep point was made. Even if we had not sinned, the Sabbath would have been called to keep Holy. Therefore, because of sin and we have been separated from God, we are reminded that the seventh day was made holy at creation. And life the family and marriage, the Sabbath is to be kept holy after the fall of man.
I'd recommend those who still doubt to read the book of Hebrews chapter 4. This chapter changed my thinking a lot. Isaiah 66:22-23 tells me that even in new Jerusalem Sabbath continues
Keeping Sabbath day (Saturday) holy is a sign of our obedience the the laws of God as found the Ten Commandments Exodus 20. Sabbath day is the day of worship to give glory to our creator God, who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fountains of water...Revelation 14:7-9
God is eternal, the Creator the only God, the Creator creates everything and Adam and Eve the last to created, and were created in the image of God, so the whole creation was for Adam and Eve, they were meant to be fruitful and multiply and populate this earth, God has a purpose for his creation, it's only our rebellious hearts refusing to listen to the God who created us,

Thank you for the message! You may have mentioned this in other parts to the series and if you did i apologize but in addition to the reality of the Sabbath truth originating at creation, it is also tied typologically into the Gospel message. As God "finished" His work of creation on the sixth day in Genesis 2 He then "rested" on the seventh. What did Adam and Eve do during their first full day of being alive? They simply entered into a "rest" that God provided for them and set in motion a pattern for humanity in developing an intimate relationship with their Creator. Time is how we nurture relationship. They entered into the rest God provided and this was outside anything Adam and Eve could supply or add to this blessing. Fast forward 4000 years to the cross of Calvary. Jesus is breathing out His last breath on the cross and says "It is finished". It happens to be the sixth day! Then He is taken down and put in the tomb where He "rests" on the Sabbath from His work in the recreation of man. We enter this salvation by faith! The seventh day Sabbath is truly a message of righteousness by faith. "There now remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God". Hebrews 4:9 When the Sabbath is seen in the light of the Gospel of Christ, its beauty shines forth and brings about the fruits of righteousness. God bless my friend!
Amazing Insight!, ...As a Christian in this era that the official day off work is Sunday is gonna be challenging, Also Sunday is my Church main service.....How besides going tu church on Sunday can I also keep the Sabbath if I have to work 6 days a week ? Your insights would be appreciated.
The only thing I can recommend is to by faith follow your Lord in word and deed. We must worship Him in spirit and truth and if that truth calls you to take a stand, so be it. Omnipotence is on your side 😊
EXODUS; 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 20:10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: 20:11 For [in] six days the LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM. REVELATION: 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: AND WORSHIP HIM THAT MADE HEAVEN, AND EARTH, AND THE SEA, AND THE FOUNTAINS OF WATERS. REVELATION: 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.
More suppott for the Sabbath pre-dating Sinai: In Exodus 16, manna falls double on the 6th day and none on the 7th, prior to Exodus 20, where God says Remember the Sabbath.
Love God with all your soul and mind. Try doing that 1st, THEN think about keeping the Sabbath! God's Law is perfect, human flesh is not, hold fast to Jesus who made s way for us all.
Bear in mind that our souls are spirit and heavenly in nature so we must allow God's spirit, the Holy Spirit to control them. Let our souls pray to God to pledge his Holy Spirit to come and control them.
The 2 most commonly use are: Acts 20:7 Verse: "On the first day of the week, we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight." 1. Timing: According to Jewish reckoning, a day begins at sunset. Thus, the "first day of the week" (Sunday) would begin at sunset on what we consider Saturday night. The gathering in Acts 20:7 occurred on Saturday night, a continuation of the Sabbath worship that day. 2. Breaking Bread: The phrase "to break bread" can refer to a regular meal. In Acts 2:42, it is noted that the early Christians "devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer," suggesting that breaking bread was a daily practice, not confined to a specific day of the week, and not exclusive to a sacred day of worship. 3. Context: This verse describes a specific event where Paul and the disciples gathered on the first day of the week to break bread and Paul preached. The context shows this as a narrative description of a one-time event rather than an establishment of a regular practice or commandment, undermining or replacing the Sabbath worship found in the Decalogue. 4. First Day of the Week: While it mentions the first day of the week (Sunday), the emphasis seems more on Paul's departure and his long sermon rather than instituting a new worship practice. The meeting may have been more practical due to Paul’s travel plans rather than a doctrinal statement about worship. In fact, Paul traveled the next morning (sunday), further proving that Sunday is an ordinary day. 1 Corinthians 16:2 Verse: "On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made." 1. Context: Paul is instructing the Corinthians to set aside money for the collection for the saints (no indication as tithe). This practice of setting aside money on the first day of the week was more about logistical convenience for collecting funds rather than establishing a worship day. 2. Private Action: The instruction is for individuals to set aside money privately ("each one of you"), not necessarily implying a communal gathering for worship, but rather a common earning or working day. It is an organizational matter, ensuring the fund is ready when Paul arrives. 3. No Mention of Worship: The verse does not mention worship, prayer, breaking bread, or any other elements typically associated with a worship service. It focuses solely on preparing a financial collection. Summary Acts 20:7 describes a gathering on what would be Saturday night, and breaking bread was a daily practice for early Christians (Acts 2:42), not confined to a specific day. Both Acts 20:7 and 1 Corinthians 16:2 describe practices occurring on the first day of the week but do not explicitly prescribe Sunday as a day of worship. Acts 20:7 is a narrative of a particular event, while 1 Corinthians 16:2 is an instruction for financial preparation. Neither verse directly commands or establishes Sunday as the new Sabbath or a regular day for Christian worship services.
All the commandments were given for all times to keep, but man brakes them in disobedience of God and need to repent and ask for forgiveness . Jesus had to come to earth, to keep them all in our place, and He died paying for our dead sentence for not believing in the gospel and obey His Father in believing in Jesus and His Father commandments of love for our neighbors.
"He came to Nazareth where he was raised and as his custom was, he entered the sinagoge on the Sabbath and stand and read" luke 4:16 There remain a Sabbath for the people of God Hebrew 4:4, Hebrew 4:8-11.
When man says; "I think" one needs to be wary of what is being taught. Any time man tries to explain God and his ways, you can bet that man is going against God. Christ spoke to creation and it was so. Christ is the WORD. We now are bound only by the flesh, and upon death we are released to join Christ.
YES! And the LORD's Day is Sun Day! Heavenly Father's Sabbath relies on His Calendar: the moon! Praise be to JeZEUS who is the LORD of the Rings of Saturn aka Satan! Who the Hell needs a Heavenly Father with all those crazy Laws and Commands! JeZEUS and Paul abolished the Constitution written in Heaven THEREFORE, JeZEUS and Paul were God in the Flesh! ONLY God can backslide on what He created!
Hebrew Christians still observe the 7th day (Lu.23:56) 'according to the commandment'. Resting on the sabbath was a commandment before the 10 commandments were given (Ex.16:28-30). The word 'sabbath' is not mentioned in Scripture until Ex.16:23. It is then revealed to be 'the seventh day', as Heb.4:4 mentions. God did bless 'The seventh day' and sanctify it (Gen.2:3), and God does not change His mind. Scripture confirms, that 'whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it , that men should fear before him' (Eccl.3:14). This proves that, 'the seventh day' is still blessed and sanctified. There is no mention of a change of day in Scripture. 'The seventh day' is biblical; the saying "one day in seven" is not. The moral law is still to be observed, including the moral 'sabbath day', but the ceremonial sabbaths were fulfilled by Christ on the cross. The first day may be an extension of the sabbath, in a gospel sense, because Jesus is 'the resurrection and the life'. Those that ignore the significance of 'the seventh day' are ignoring Hebrews chapter 4, that plainly reveals that it still points to the everlasting rest of God, and eternal day (no more night there). The Apostolic Constitutions exhorted Christians to observe both days, the 7th and the 1st each week. This obviously is the 'peacemaker' view, that gets rid of conflict and variance about 'the sabbath', a day to rest and honor God.
As a Christian in this era that the official day off work is Sunday ...day that i go to my church and do most of the Shabbat principles.....How can I also keep the Sabbath if I cant take the "peacemaker view" of taking both saturday an sunday off??? Please Help
@@israelrivera3009 Understanding is vital for a conscience "issue". Heb.4:4 seems plain enough, yet our heart must be drawing near to honor God (Mk.7:6-9). Is God's rest physical, spiritual, or both? When we believe God's word (promise, commandment, precept, warnings, etc) we do 'enter into rest' (Heb.4:2-3). Let us 'labor (study) therefore to enter into that rest...' (Heb.4:10-11). Let us study/endeavor to enter His rest by faith, believing His every word (Heb.4:12-16). Help is at 'the throne of grace' in our time of need. David and his men 'had need, and was hungry' (Mk.2:25-28). Jesus performed miracles on the sabbath (Matt.12:7, Lu.6:9). Jesus asks, 'Is it lawful on the sabbaths to do good...to save life...' (1Tim.1:8-11, Lu.23:56). Is the 4th commandment only for Hebrew Christians?
@@israelrivera3009 Many seem to make 'another gospel' out of the 1st day "issue" (Gal.1:6) and persecute those that see no change of day in Scripture. They preach "Sunday" as if it were clearly the 'Lord's day', ignoring that 'man's day/judgment' (1Cor.4:3-4) is an issue as well. We are not justified in altering any thing in Scripture (1Cor.4:5). Some wish to 'compel' (Gal.2:3) Christians to abrogate the 7th day, as certain Jews 'compelled' Titus 'to be circumcised'! Paul writes that they were 'false brethren brought in unawares' and did nothing for the Gospel (Gal.2:4-5). Who is right? Is 'the Lord's day' (Rev.1:10) about His judgment on men, or about man's judgment on His word? Most modern translations take out singular pronouns ('thee', 'thou', 'thy', 'thine') creating 1000's of errors in Scripture, not to mention other words! 'If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?' (Ps.11:3). Both marriage and the 7th day have been 'destroyed', or hasn't any one noticed?!
@@israelrivera3009 The puritan pastor Thomas Shepard (1605-1649) writes in his book Theses Sabbaticae, on page 191, "For as for those eastern Christians, who, in the primitive times, observed two Sabbaths in a week, the Jewish and the Christian, doubtless their milk sod over, and their zeal went beyond the rule." He admits that Christians in Jesus' own day separated the two days, and observed each one according to 'law' and 'gospel', and saw their proper distinctions plainly. They did not conflate or confuse the days together, but obviously noticed Jesus' words in John 5:23. The entire first part of John chapter five has a miracle on the sabbath in view. You decide if honoring 'the Son' and 'the Father' still applies today, as 'all men should'.
@@michaelstanley4698 Thank you very much for your 3 detailed responses. Your arguments are sound and they are confirming for me that there is no doubt I should *keep the Sabbath as it should be from Friday sunset until the third visible star on Saturday,... and Also to celebrate the resurrection of Christ on Sunday*
Biblical Perspective on Sunday Worship 1. No Direct Command: - The New Testament does not explicitly command or even provide a slight indication for the replacement of the Sabbath with Sunday worship. The focus of the New Testament is on the resurrection of Jesus, rather than instituting Sunday as a new day of rest or worship. 2. Continuity with Sabbath Observance: - Jesus observed the Sabbath regularly, as seen in Luke 4:16 and Matthew 5:17-19. The apostles’ observance of the Sabbath is also documented in Acts 13:14, 15:21, 16:13, 17:2, and 18:4. These references underline the Sabbath's importance in their practice. 3. Gentile Converts and the Sabbath: -Gentile converts to Christianity continued to observe the Sabbath, indicating its ongoing importance in early Apostolic Christian practice and highlighting its continued significance. In Acts 13:42 and 44, we see that these converts were present in the synagogue keeping the Sabbath, showing their continued observance and respect for this day. 4. Unscriptural Theological Development: - The practice of Sunday worship developed gradually over time during the post-apostolic era, influenced by theological reflections and traditions prevalent in the Roman Empire at that time. These aimed to honor Sunday observance, using Jesus' resurrection on that day as an unwarranted justification. This development was not based on an explicit New Testament command or practice but diverged from the original Sabbath observance, which is one of the commandments in the Decalogue. 5. Deviation from Apostolic Practice: - The early Church Fathers deviated from the original teaching and practice of Jesus and the apostles regarding the Sabbath commandment. As prophesied by Paul in Acts 20:29 (KJV), "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock", there was a significant departure from the original apostolic teaching and practice. 6. Pagan Origins of Sunday Worship: -Sunday worship has pagan origins steming from historical and cultural practices that predate Christianity. Here's a summary of this perspective: 1. Roman Sun Worship: - In ancient Rome, Sunday was dedicated to the sun god, Sol Invictus. This day was considered auspicious for sun worship, and various sun deities were honored on this day, including the later imperial cults. 2. Heliocentric Influence: - The influence of heliocentric (sun-centered) religion was widespread in the Roman Empire. Sunday was already a day of rest and celebration in honor of the sun, a practice that was integrated into Christian worship practices as Christianity became more entrenched in Roman culture. 3. Early Christian Adaptation: - As Christianity spread through the Roman Empire, church leaders adapted certain cultural and religious practices to facilitate conversion and integration. The observance of Sunday as a day of worship was influenced by the existing Roman tradition of sun worship, helping to bridge the gap between pagan practices and Christian worship. 4. Constantine’s Edict: - In 321 AD, Emperor Constantine issued an edict making Sunday a day of rest from labor, aligning with the established Roman practice and facilitating the transition to Christian observance. This move was part of a broader effort to merge Christian practices with prevailing cultural norms, which is basically paganism. Conclusion The New Testament does not provide a direct command or indication to replace the Sabbath with Sunday. Gentile converts to Christianity maintained Sabbath observance, reflecting its ongoing significance. The emphasis on Sunday as a day of worship developed through tradition and theological reflection, diverging from the original Sabbath observance as established by Jesus and the apostles. The association of Sunday worship with pagan sun worship reflects historical developments where post-apostolic Christians adapted cultural practices to their new religious context with in the Roman Empire. While the Christian observance of Sunday ultimately became centered on the resurrection of Jesus, its timing and some associated practices were influenced by pre-existing Roman traditions dedicated to the sun as a god.
In revelation 14:12. The bible says those who will not receive the mark of the beast keep the 10 commandments which the 7th day ( Saturday) Sabbath is apart of. So my question is, what is the counterfiet Sabbath day which if i accept it i will receieve the beast matk?
I keep the 7th day Sabbath which is aoart of the 10 commandments. I reject sunday keeping bcuz prophecy in Daniel 7 and revelation 13,17,18 points to a power that will seek to change Gods law and history have shown me, the only institution that did this is the Roman Catholic Church. I am not against catholic many are wonderful people but the system has done things that the Bible says it will do.
"For the Son of man is also the Lord of Sabbath." Mark 2:28 this is clear that Jesus is the Lord of Sabbath because he is one with the father when the world was created, "let us make man in our own image, in our own likeness" in Genesis 3:22 "did you see, man is like us who knows good and evil"

God said in Malachi 3:6 KJV - For I am the Lord, I change not; Jesus said: Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Since NEITHER Change, then the Sabbath CAN NOT changed!!! Unless both God and Jesus are liars.
Clear discussion on commandment number four and whether it's binding today, but without mentioning the day. Is it the seventh day, and if it is, it would be less confusing if you can name the day? Thanks.
The calendar answers that question, though many claim that the calendar was changed (not valid). The best way to know is to ask an eye witness. Jews have been keeping the Sabbath on Saturday for thousands of years. The seventh day ( not one day in seven) is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.
The Seventh-day Sabbath is for all Man, not only for Jews. (Mark 2:27- The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.) There are 10- Commandments given by the Lord, not 9. So it includes the 4th Commandment, which starts with REMEMBER. We, SDA Church members, worship God on the Seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday), as what the Bible says.
As our culture goes more secular and the difficulty of finding a church that does Sunday evening services, I'm actually thinking about starting a "Worship at the park" service. I could set up under a public pavilion, open with prayer, set up my electric piano, sing a few songs and preach a message. I want to not only give believers an opinion for Sunday evening worship, but also use it to evangelize my local community. I used to be a frontier missionary, but, now being stuck in America in this season, I still desire to work in the ministry. I might start a public, outdoor worship service on the Lord's Day.
Revelation 1:10 mistranslated into Greek is the basis for the justification of Sunday as the “LORD’s Day.” In Hebrew that reads “Day of the LORD,” which is what all of Revelation is actually about. It has absolutely nothing to do with a day of the week, it is the Day of the LORD spoken of throughout the Old Testament. Christianity was CREATED as opposing Judaism. That’s why scriptures were “interpreted “ such that the only way Christians could PLEASE God was to disobey His commandments.
Every day for a Christian is a true Sabbath as we rest from works of self righteousness. Those fleshly works include observing the LAW rather than Christ's Grace. God's 7th "day" was obviously not a 24 hour day, nor was it a literal 1,000 years as in "a day for a year" equaling 7,000 years, as taught by some. The Bible is both prophetic and spiritual and it's truths are hidden to all but truth seeking lovers of God. Even Jesus did not speak plainly. He spoke of sacred things in parables and illustrations in order to reveal our "heart's" thoughts and intentions. See John 4:12 and John 16:29
Insightful. I am not 100 percent convinced that the weekly cadence of 7 days is completely detached from the natural lunar phase cycle of 28 days. Jews observe lunar months and add one additional month to the year as we do with leap days every four years. I'm not arguing that the week came after the month, but the beauty of the lunar month being divisible by 4 and 7 can hardly be overlooked.
1. There is NO SUCH "THING" AS A "JEW" IN THE BIBLE! ALL tribes are set out in Genesis yet no such THING as a "Jew" tribe ... who is the patriarch of the "Jews"? 2. There are anywhere from 29 to 30 days in a lunar month. The new moon is day 1 of the lunar month but doesn't factor into the Sabbath day count. ONLY the illuminations, NOT REFLECTIONS OF THE SUN, which dictate the days of the week. The New Moon is an "off-set" ... sometimes 2 day New Moon but mostly 1 New Moon. The Weekly Sabbaths of Heavenly Father fall on the: 8th., 15th., 22nd and 29th day of each and every month. Next pagan Woden'sday is the last Sabbath of the 4th Month. for example: look up: "fourteenth day of Abib" or "Nisan". Nisan or Abib is the 1st month. The first month begins at the New Moon after the even/summer equal nox. The fourteenth day is Passover ... the 15th is the 2nd Sabbath of the New Year. The Edomites celebrate New Year in the winter Equal Nox in the fall ... going into desolation! Incidentally, the Diaspora of the Israelites ended shortly after the Edomites gave the DNA from the Cave of the Patriarchs, to the Cana'anites, during the 6 Days War June 6-11 1967 ... The Edomites claim to be God's Chosen and worked 6 Days and Rested on the 7th day ... ahhhh .... if you look at the lunar phases for that week you will find the Edomites worked on the Lunar Sabbath of that week! Thanks to the Edomites we now have mRNA to attack the DNA sequences peculiar to the seed of Abraham .. Covid is Divoc in Hebrew .. 19 is Aleph/Omega ... 1/beginning/seed of Abraham/TWINS Jacob and Esau ... Omega/9/end of the Seed of Abraham-TWINS Jacob and Esau/TWIN towers-911 the foreboding! Through Democracy and Christianity, man, a creation of God, gave God's creation: Earth, to an unseen hand! ALL Nations of the world have been mortgaged EXCEPT Vatican! WHO OWNS PLANET EARTH NOW?
If you read Genesis chapter 7 in the story of the flood, you will notice the months had 30 days. So how if they wanted perfect division of the month, Six days week would have been the perfect number. Then there would have been five weeks every month.
quote---- I am not 100 percent convinced that the weekly cadence of 7 days is completely detached from the natural lunar phase cycle of 28 days.unquote What is it about the SEVENTH day that is confusing??? Sabbath IS EVER 7 DAYS!!!!! Why is the moon needed to tell when the seventh day is??? Apparently you are NOT able to count to 7!!! ----quote---Jews observe lunar months and add one additional month to the year as we do with leap days every four years. --unquote For what reason did they use lunar cycle??? For feast day----sacrificial days, ceremonial days!!! What feast days are Sabbaths? They are observed by Jews and a minority of Christians. Two of the shabbath (holy assemblies) occur in spring on the first and last day of the Feast of unleavened bread (Matzot). One occurs in the summer, this is the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot). And four occur in the fall in the seventh month. What are the seven feast days? 7 Feasts That Point to Christ Passover - Leviticus 23:4-8. ... Unleavened Bread - Leviticus 23:6. ... First Fruits - Leviticus 23:10. ... Feast of Weeks or Pentecost - Leviticus 23:16. ... Feast of Trumpets - Leviticus 23:24. ... Day of Atonement - Leviticus 16, 23:26-32. ... Feast of Tabernacles or Booths - Leviticus 23:34. ALL calculated by the moon!!!!
THE TEN COMMSNDMENTS DID EXIST AT CREATION, The Commandments is the transcript of GOD's Character. The reason they were written in stone in the wilderness by the finger of GOD, is because GOD enter into a covenant with these people and both parties receive a copy of the covenant agreement. The old and new covenant are the same; the old is where GOD enter into a covenant with man who then broke the covenant, and then re-enter the covenant with his SON JESUS who kept it. GOD BLESS, I Hope This Information Was Helpful
4 primary phases of the moon. Each phase lasts 7 days. 4*7=30. I suppose one can still ask, why 7. But I think the 7 churches in revelation have something to do with it. Maybe something like God is not only God of the material, but of the immaterial. Imagine,a guy from Galilee and Bethlehem,a bruised reed he did not break, wound up in the higher society, and was killed by them, but changed the world as we know it. "I have overcome the world."
God is God and is the izzness of ALL THAT IZ...HE is a pure state og Being... neither active or inactive...a pure state of Being... never in action nor at rest but we who while in the world and by the Nature of the world need "to be" in a state of becoming or nothing could get done as regards our "physical,,"needs but we Don't live by bread alone and we need to look back on our creation i.e. acts we have done and to do That we need to rest from what we've been doing.
The Bible never once says or even hints that God rested on the seventh day because He needed a respite from all the work. It says God created the Sabbath for man. Mark 2:27 And He said to them, *“The Sabbath was made for man,* and not man for the Sabbath. 28 Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
Sabbath now has a third meaning. It pointed to the future when Jesus would make us free from the chains of sin that lead to death by He himself dying and atoning for our sins. In the future it will have another meaning when Jesus returns and we reign with Him for a thousand years. A day is like a thousand years to God so we expect Him to come at the 7th millennium to bring a “day” of rest! Why the church threw away the Sabbath is beyond me. Probably to distance themselves from the Jews when they were hated during the dark ages.
In conclusion, the two great works of God, Jesus Christ, are creation and salvation, with the latter, was reflected in the 4th commandment and was not anymore mentioned in the New Testament, having been fulfilled by Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Sabbath, where Lord means having power by His ressurection through the spirit of holiness, giving spiritual rest to man by repentance i.e. from unbelief to believe in Christ Jesus, giving faith for the forgiveness of sins. Christians are not to be deceived to do this or to do that regarding Sabbaths.
Aren't Christians suppose to follow Christ? (Matthew 4:19) And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. (John 10:27) My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: (Luke 4:16) And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. (1 John 2:6) He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. Acts 18:4 & 11---Paul preached 'every Sabbath' to the Jews and Gentiles for 1.5 years, which equates to about 84 Sabbaths with no mention of the holiness of the 1st day or the day of resurrection. Shabbat shalom.
His giving us rest doesn't mean the 7th day Sabbath is done away. It is the day that the Father started in Creation week when He "ceased" from His work. Yeshua /Jesus said the Sabbath was made for MAN not for the Jews. He knows that we need to cease from our work and rest for a day and He chose the day! It is a mark of His authority. 1Sa 15:22 KJV And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. Psa 119:160 KJV Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
@@Psalmist6693 Don't forget Col 2:14, which tells you the Sabbath of "meat and drink" (ordinance) was nailed to the cross. The 7th day Sabbath was not. Please study Lev 23. Lev 23:27-38 reveals the difference. Feast Sabbaths are treated just like 7th day Sabbaths and there lies the confusion to those who don't/won't study the difference.
7th day Sabbath was given to Israel as part of the previous covernant and was never change. Jews continue to observe the 7th day Sabbath, so nothing has change. Jesus also kept the 7th day Sabbath because he is a Jew born under the law, and as his Jewish custom was, that is correct thing for him to do. However, under the new covernant, which we gentiles comes in, there is no 7th day Sabbath and Jesus never teach the keeping of 7th day Sabbath. In fact, his disciples broke the 7th day sabbath law according to the Jews, and he defended them, because he is the Lord of the Sabbath. The apostles and the early christians began to break bread and sharing the Word of God on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7). Breaking of bread is the same as our worship service today. Emperor Constantine only endorse what was already practice by early christians. And the Jews continue to keep the 7th day Sabbath as it was part of a covernant made between them and God. We gentiles were not part of that covernant. Gentiles enjoy the same blessings but under a new covernant by Jesus Christ. We continue to obey God but not through the law written on a stone tablet, which was part of the old covernant. We obey God through Jesus Christ who put his laws in our heart, the substance of the stone tablet. Just as the animal sacrifice is the shadow of Christ as sacrifice, animal's blood is the shadow of the blood of Jesus, the 7th day Sabbath is the shadow of God's Sabbath rest made available to us in Christ. (Mathew 11:28-29), a rest for our soul. God rested on the 7th day after creation, and remain in his Sabbath rest to this day. He never kept it every 7th day of the week, the way he commanded Israel to keep, because that was the shadow (Colossians 2:16-17) of his true rest made available in Christ. The 7th day in Genesis only begins with evening but no morning which means, we are still in the 7th day today and God is still in his rest. So the Jews were commanded to keep the Sabbath day (Shadow), but more importantly, they were expected of God to enter the land of Canaan (type of God's Sabbath Rest, Hebrew 4:8) and remain in it. Unfortunately, They didn't because of unbelief. So under Christ, we still keep the Sabbath, but not the way Israel kept it. We keep it the way God kept it since creation. It must be a dwelling place for our soul to rest from worries, stress and all anxieties of life that suppress our soul and not a one day church service in week. With regards to the day, let no one judge you (Colossians 2:16-17) as we now have access to the Sabbath rest (substance), Sabbath day(Shadow) no longer matters. Hebrew 4:7, We have a new Sabbath day called "TODAY". Today we must enter into the Sabbath Rest of God and remain in it For God entered into his rest after creation and he remain in it to this day. That is the way we should keep the Sabbath under Christ and his covernant. This is not disobedience to the law, it's fulfilling the Sabbath law under the new covernant. (Matthew 5:17). Even the Jews or the Adventist who observe the 7th Sabbath day must also enter into the Sabbath Rest of God. It is possible for you to keep the shadow(Day) and miss out on the substance (Rest). Worship shall be a daily lifestyle. Isaiah 66:23 From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me," says the Lord. That means, worship must be your daily life style, not an activity you perform one day in a week When Jesus returns, we will enter into his Sabbath rest and remain in it for the entire millennium just as God enter and remain in his sabbath rest since creation. We will not keep it the way he commanded Israel to keep under the previous covernant which was only the shadow. God never change, but the way he relates to man and man relates to him change under the new covernant in Christ.

Dr. Godfrey need to take a second look at which day he calls the Sabbath in Genesis. The Sabbath is not Sunday, sunday is the first day of the week. The Bible says after the Sabbath ends (Saturday) the first day of the week ( Sunday) the wemon went to Jesus grave. I realize this today a lot of Christians mixed up the 7th day and the 1st day.. SUNDAY CANNOT BE THE 7TH DAY AND THE 1ST DAY. there are nowhere in scripture Dr. Godfrey that says Sunday is the 7th day and that the early Churches keep Sunday holy.... the jewish nation which God preserved is one of the biggest example that the Sabbath of creation is on Saturday not Sunday. Infact history and the Catholic Church confirm Sundsy is their institution, they change the rest day from Saturday to Sunday.... You must take another look. SUNDAY SABBATH IS A CATHOLIC DOGMA, ITS NOT OF GOD
While I do agree with Dr. Godfrey and personally believe in keeping the Sabbath (Sundays for this Christian) I also am not convinced it wasn't just for the Jews. Have a blessed day. 🙏♥️🙏 Exodus 31:16-17 English Standard Version 16 Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. 17 It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”
@Job395-wx1cy Then there's this. 🙏😊🙏 Colossians 2:16-17 New King James Version 16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a [a]festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the [b]substance is of Christ. Romans 14:4-7 New King James Version 4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. 5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; [a]and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself

@@mikemccormick9667 Greetings, there is a great misunderstanding amongst Christians today regarding Col 2:14-17. I believe that there is only one way to not be deceived, and that is to accept the plain words of scripture as truth. Yeshua said "Sabbath was made for man" not "made for Jews". When was Sabbath made? At Creation before sin, after He made Adam, which means "man" in Hebrew: Gen 2:1-3->>word "rested"=Shabbat. When did Jews first appear on earth? Around 2 millennia after the 7th day was sanctified/made holy/set apart/hallowed. Why does the 4th commandment make explicit reference to Creation before sin? I urge you to study the difference between "ordinance" and law of God. The Hebrew tabernacle/sanctuary service is a beautiful imagery (type) of what was/is to come (anti-type) upon the believers/followers of YeHoVaH/ Yeshua for all of mankind, and encompasses the entire blip of the fallen race until Yeshua returns, which is symbolized as the "feast of tabernacle" ceremony, which is also represented as the marriage supper: Matt 25:1-10; Luke 14:12-24; Rev 19:7-9 Leviticus 23 gives a clear description of the difference between "feast" (related to meat/drink) Sabbath vs 7th-day Sabbath. They were treated alike, but one is an ordinance, and the other is a commandment of YeHoVaH/Yeshua. Lev 23:37-38 gives you a clear "thus saith YHVH" answer to distinguish the two types of Sabbath here and the one in Col 2:16 is referring to the "feast" Sabbaths because it includes "meat/drink". Hope this helps. Praise YeHoVaH for the marriage supper is at hand!

Hebrews 4:10 In-Context 10 for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. What "rest" is that about?
Worship is an expression of 'love' which He does not force, we have to be willing to worship Him on the day He set aside. Eze 20:12,20; Isa 58:13-14; Exo 20:8-11; Rev 14:6-7 uses the word 'worship' in the context of the Creator, not Redeemer nor day of resurrection. Same language is used in the 4th commandment, which also points to the day it was sanctified in Gen 2:3. Rev 14:9-12 reveals more about what the false worship is and in verse 12, it is evidently clear that all 10 commandments are essential to not receive the mark.
I can show you a verse calling people to come together on the Sabbath to worship, but first I'll spin your question to you, where is the command to worship any other specific day...? if you're trying to say you don't have to keep the Sabbath because there isn't a specific command to worship on the day (not true), then what is your basis for any other day? either than that's what you've been taught...? God bless
This teaching is way off out into left field. Honouring the sabbath for Christians is resting from the works of the flesh to follow Godliness and holiness. It has zero to do with physical day rest. This was God's plan from the very beginning when he rested on the 7th day. He made it a physical day before Christ came to foreshaddow things to come when Christ would come, and now it is possible for Christians to follow the sabbath by the work of Jesus Christ who conquered the flesh. How important is the sabbath for Christians? Answer: crucial to follow. But it is simply not a physical day of rest.

Rest on the Sabath means to rest not work, but you can worship on Sunday also go to church on that day too
I love the last chapter in the Bible it's revelation 22 and verse 14 says blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of Life and may enter in through the gates into the City! I love that whole chapter so much that I memorized it! Love and blessings as we read God's Word
I guess I should add just about the whole chapter
Amen, god Bless you. Rev 12:17: "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked."
1Jn 5:3-5: "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Ecclesiastes 12: 13 says "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man". the 4rth commandment is the only commandment that starts with Remember, Remember what? Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
Thank you Sir for sharing these wonderful and powerful Bible truths about the holy Sabbath of the Lord our God. We must speak the truth of God’s word on these matters and I applaud your honest and faithful declaration of these precious truths from the scriptures of our Lord! :) God bless you, sir, in this work!❤ Let Jesus and His truth be fully uplifted!
Glory be to our God you shall ye the truth and the truth will set you free God we thank you and glorify your Name to reavil the truth about the Sabbath may the good Lord continue richly bless you Professor to teach His word to his children and his people Amen 🙌🙌
Thank you for the message. The great thing about spiritual things is you don’t need a PhD to find the truth. It’s easy to count to seven. Over 100 languages call Saturday
“Sabbath.” Blessings to you!
In heaven there's no nights & light read Rev 22:5.Also read Isaiah 66:24
Keeping Sabbath day (Saturday) holy is a sign of our obedience the the laws of God as found the Ten Commandments Exodus 20. Sabbath day is the day of worship to give glory to our creator God, who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fountains of water...Revelation 14:7-9
Excellent sermon. ❤
I believe the Sabbath is to remember that the God Yahuah is the creator. The unique and only creator
Amen! 😊
There's more...it involves the rest of mind and body from secular work and reflecting on God's creative power, His love for His creation, etc, etc.

The Sabbath is now becoming the centre of debates and will move forward with massive strive . God the Creator will be vindicated and all false teaching against the Holy Sabbath will be vindicated.
The God is waking up His sleeping ones to fill with power and might to preach thus great truth. The Sabbath has been trampled upon for centuries, but God will cause the old waste places to be built again.

Hebrews 4:9
When the Sabbath is seen in the light of the Gospel of Christ, its beauty shines forth and brings about the fruits of righteousness. God bless my friend!
Amen! So true and beautiful!

I see it as a promise and a sort of romantic idea, spending one complete day with our beloved, an actual sanctuary in time.
Let our souls pray to God to pledge his Holy Spirit to come and control them.
truth prevails. Blessings
Isa 58 verses 13 and 14 tell you all you need to know.
The Sabbath started on creation week Genesis
Wow.. Very interesting
Thank you
The 2 most commonly use are:
Acts 20:7
Verse: "On the first day of the week, we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight."
1 Corinthians 16:2
Verse: "On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made."
Summary
Acts 20:7 describes a gathering on what would be Saturday night, and breaking bread was a daily practice for early Christians (Acts 2:42), not confined to a specific day.

When man says; "I think" one needs to be wary of what is being taught. Any time man tries to explain God and his ways, you can bet that man is going against God. Christ spoke to creation and it was so. Christ is the WORD. We now are bound only by the flesh, and upon death we are released to join Christ.
Jesus said He is Lord of the sabbath.
Please Help

Understanding is vital for a conscience "issue".
@@israelrivera3009
Many seem to make 'another gospel' out of the 1st day "issue" (Gal.1:6) and persecute those that see no change of day in Scripture.
@@israelrivera3009
The puritan pastor Thomas Shepard (1605-1649) writes in his book Theses Sabbaticae, on page 191,
"For as for those eastern Christians, who, in the primitive times, observed two Sabbaths in a week, the Jewish and the Christian, doubtless their milk sod over, and their zeal went beyond the rule."
He admits that Christians in Jesus' own day separated the two days, and observed each one according to 'law' and 'gospel', and saw their proper distinctions plainly.
Biblical Perspective on Sunday Worship
1. No Direct Command:
- The New Testament does not explicitly command or even provide a slight indication for the replacement of the Sabbath with Sunday worship. The focus of the New Testament is on the resurrection of Jesus, rather than instituting Sunday as a new day of rest or worship.
2. Continuity with Sabbath Observance:
- Jesus observed the Sabbath regularly, as seen in Luke 4:16 and Matthew 5:17-19. The apostles’ observance of the Sabbath is also documented in Acts 13:14, 15:21, 16:13, 17:2, and 18:4. These references underline the Sabbath's importance in their practice.
3. Gentile Converts and the Sabbath:
-Gentile converts to Christianity continued to observe the Sabbath, indicating its ongoing importance in early Apostolic Christian practice and highlighting its continued significance. In Acts 13:42 and 44, we see that these converts were present in the synagogue keeping the Sabbath, showing their continued observance and respect for this day.
4. Unscriptural Theological Development:
- The practice of Sunday worship developed gradually over time during the post-apostolic era, influenced by theological reflections and traditions prevalent in the Roman Empire at that time. These aimed to honor Sunday observance, using Jesus' resurrection on that day as an unwarranted justification. This development was not based on an explicit New Testament command or practice but diverged from the original Sabbath observance, which is one of the commandments in the Decalogue.
5. Deviation from Apostolic Practice:
- The early Church Fathers deviated from the original teaching and practice of Jesus and the apostles regarding the Sabbath commandment. As prophesied by Paul in Acts 20:29 (KJV), "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock", there was a significant departure from the original apostolic teaching and practice.
6. Pagan Origins of Sunday Worship:
-Sunday worship has pagan origins steming from historical and cultural practices that predate Christianity.
Here's a summary of this perspective:
1. Roman Sun Worship:
- In ancient Rome, Sunday was dedicated to the sun god, Sol Invictus. This day was considered auspicious for sun worship, and various sun deities were honored on this day, including the later imperial cults.
2. Heliocentric Influence:
- The influence of heliocentric (sun-centered) religion was widespread in the Roman Empire. Sunday was already a day of rest and celebration in honor of the sun, a practice that was integrated into Christian worship practices as Christianity became more entrenched in Roman culture.
3. Early Christian Adaptation:
- As Christianity spread through the Roman Empire, church leaders adapted certain cultural and religious practices to facilitate conversion and integration. The observance of Sunday as a day of worship was influenced by the existing Roman tradition of sun worship, helping to bridge the gap between pagan practices and Christian worship.
4. Constantine’s Edict:
- In 321 AD, Emperor Constantine issued an edict making Sunday a day of rest from labor, aligning with the established Roman practice and facilitating the transition to Christian observance. This move was part of a broader effort to merge Christian practices with prevailing cultural norms, which is basically paganism.
Conclusion
The New Testament does not provide a direct command or indication to replace the Sabbath with Sunday.

Clear discussion on commandment number four and whether it's binding today, but without mentioning the day. Is it the seventh day, and if it is, it would be less confusing if you can name the day?
Thanks.
What's that Confusing you ?🤔
The calendar answers that question, though many claim that the calendar was changed (not valid). The best way to know is to ask an eye witness. Jews have been keeping the Sabbath on Saturday for thousands of years. The seventh day ( not one day in seven) is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.
Sunday by Willy Rordorft is interesting
The Seventh-day Sabbath is for all Man, not only for Jews. (Mark 2:27- The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.) There are 10- Commandments given by the Lord, not 9. So it includes the 4th Commandment, which starts with REMEMBER. We, SDA Church members, worship God on the Seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday), as what the Bible says.

Welcome back to the law and de 7th day of Adventist
Colosenses 2:16 & Lev 23
Then there would have been five weeks every month.
quote---- I am not 100 percent convinced that the weekly cadence of 7 days is completely detached from the natural lunar phase cycle of 28 days.unquote
What is it about the SEVENTH day that is confusing??? Sabbath IS EVER 7 DAYS!!!!!
Why is the moon needed to tell when the seventh day is??? Apparently you are NOT able to count to 7!!!
----quote---Jews observe lunar months and add one additional month to the year as we do with leap days every four years. --unquote
For what reason did they use lunar cycle???
For feast day----sacrificial days, ceremonial days!!!
What feast days are Sabbaths?
They are observed by Jews and a minority of Christians. Two of the shabbath (holy assemblies) occur in spring on the first and last day of the Feast of unleavened bread (Matzot). One occurs in the summer, this is the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot). And four occur in the fall in the seventh month.
What are the seven feast days?
7 Feasts That Point to Christ
Passover - Leviticus 23:4-8.
THE TEN COMMSNDMENTS DID EXIST AT CREATION, The Commandments
is the transcript of GOD's Character. The reason they were written in stone in
the wilderness by the finger of GOD, is because GOD enter into a covenant
with these people and both parties receive a copy of the covenant agreement.
The old and new covenant are the same; the old is where GOD enter into a
covenant with man who then broke the covenant, and then re-enter the
covenant with his SON JESUS who kept it.

What do you really mean by that? Didn’t you read the first book of the Bible?
Mark 2:27-28
The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
Where can I find the lecture that came after this one?
(John 10:27) My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:
(Luke 4:16) And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Jesus is now our Sabbath rest. Rest in Him.
Jesus kept the sabbath himself. He didn't come to abolish the law
The sunday sabbath is not biblical , come from the autority of the catholic church👍
The seventh day is Saturday or Sunday ?
SATURDAY--Sunset Friday -to sunset Saturday
Wooow... Thank GOD for you sir...
Roms 14 has nothing doing with the 7th Day Sabbath in context...
Thanks sir
That means, worship must be your daily life style, not an activity you perform one day in a week
When Jesus returns, we will enter into his Sabbath rest and remain in it for the entire millennium just as God enter and remain in his sabbath rest since creation. We will not keep it the way he commanded Israel to keep under the previous covernant which was only the shadow. God never change, but the way he relates to man and man relates to him change under the new covernant in Christ.

After our salvation, God has become our parent. And honouring The Sabbath command means honouring God. Whoever does not honour The Sabbath does not honour God. Whoever does not honour God has no chances to enter His Kingdom. Plain and simple. Besides, the Scripture says, that God :sanctified the 7-th Day and set it apart as holy". This means, this Day is separated as God"s very own, for worship and praise. In Isaiah 58:13-14 God makes advocacy in favour of The Sabbath observation and lists blessings arising out of it. A true, worthwhile human being will take meticulous heed to what God says rather than to any random "all hat and no cattle" dudes!

In the age to come, any who receive forgiveness of sins, who were obedient to the Law to which they were amenable, whether Jew or Gentile, from our age or from the Patriarchal, or Mosaic age will be saved by the blood of Christ (Heb. 9:15) as it is applied to their lives under the Law they were expected to follow.

let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind; ❤
How about Heb 7:11-12,18-19, when the Priesthood being changed, there is a change in the law
While I do agree with Dr. Godfrey and personally believe in keeping the Sabbath (Sundays for this Christian) I also am not convinced it wasn't just for the Jews. Have a blessed day. 🙏♥️🙏

The Hebrew tabernacle/sanctuary service is a beautiful imagery (type) of what was/is to come (anti-type) upon the believers/followers of YeHoVaH/ Yeshua for all of mankind, and encompasses the entire blip of the fallen race until Yeshua returns, which is symbolized as the "feast of tabernacle" ceremony, which is also represented as the marriage supper: Matt 25:1-10; Luke 14:12-24; Rev 19:7-9
Leviticus 23 gives a clear description of the difference between "feast" (related to meat/drink) Sabbath vs 7th-day Sabbath.
@@mikemccormick9667 You need to read Romans chapter 11. You don't seem to understand who you are in Messiah Yeshua! Also read Ephesians chapter 2.

What "rest" is that about?
@@mitchellosmer1293 you still have answer, where in the scripture are we commanded to worship on the sabath?
Have not answered
No command to Worship the Lord on tbe Sabbath
God bless

So no command to worship on saturday. The sabbath command is, do not work on saturday yes we worship our Lord Jesus every day.
@@hotrode6969
You can worship God any other day, but you must also worship God on the Sabbath day (Saturday)
