She is just Amazing and with confidence and grace I’ve been to over 80 concerts in 15 cities most were in New York and Detroit she’s second to none I love her forever best that ever did it rest in peace my Queen
I don't know but this performance of Dr. Feelgood was the most powerful that I've heard. Live at the Filmore West was powerful as well but this one, she didn't hold nothing back...Both versions was off the hook... NO other singer will never touch Aretha Franklin...She's the undisputed Queen forever!!
This was absolutely breathtaking, especially the first segment! She looked so beautiful, and that red dress was so classy and sexy. We all know The Queen always delivered vocally. This doesn't even need to be said
I discovered this wonderful singer lately and i just cant get enough of her music. I wish i was able to see and hear her sing in person..RIP Ms. Aretha
Even if you had been alive, you still might not have seen her. Aretha was notorious for cancelling concerts. I missed seeing her in two states because of this!
Some of those cancellations were not her fault she demanded cash payment upfront in American tender no checks no promissory notes. If they didn't have the money for her she packed that bus up and left. A lot of the old black American singers have been abused and taken advantage of by promoters in the past and she wasn't going to stand for it any longer@@darkfeather6857
Not many female artist or any artist for that matter have three distinct vocal primes. 1. Bright and clear as a bell era 2. Husky cigarette era 3. A mix of the first two with even better interpretation skills later life era Aretha Franklin was truly one of a kind! May she she continue to Rest In Peace.
I just love that she was just so ok with her changing voice and able to adapt like that. At least outwardly (she was always having fun) but I think deep down every singer must feel scared when their voice changes with age.
@@SeanNessman - Aretha's voice didn't necessarily change with age. She was a very heavy chain smoker and finally stopped smoking in January of 1993. Then her voice started to clear up again in 1995. But yes it is an known fact that with age the singing voice does change for a lot of singers even if they never smoked like Patti Labelle. In today's time Patti seems to be really struggle to sing an entire verse without having to break it down into pieces with a lot of stops in between each word. And she really has to push hard now to get out the few high notes she's got left.
@@serpentinecreature - So true! No matter what time period of footage I watch of her, or any of her music I listen to since she passed, for me it doesn't feel like she's actually gone. I don't mean that in a denial type of way but because I've been such a huge obsessed fan of hers my whole life I know that it's her spirit that sits with me. In the same way as close loved ones who have passed on.
I give my highest respect to all of Ms. Aretha Franklin's great fans. Because they all know who is the true QUEEN of all times. She holds greater up too, all the other singers. Not a one of them can touch her gift. 'None' but there are them who are great in their musical industries industries. But we know there is the only one. 'QUEEN Aretha " and that's it...., that's all.
I know a artist who sang also very beautiful. Her name is Shirley Bassey ( the Goldfinger girl) she is also one of my favourites. She used to performed for English Royalty’s. In 2000 she became a Dame, Dame Shirley Bassey, the titel she got from Queen Elisabeth 2. ❤❤
Великая певица, потрясающее дарование, выдающиеся музыканты. Это не просто шоу бизнес, это посвящение себя Музыке. Такое честное творчество делает нас, слушателей, счастливыми. Спасибо!!!
Aretha Franklin is the best there was there is and ever will be rip to the queen of all music not just soul love her so much til the day God comes to get me
the performance of "old landmark" gave me goosebumps. I have felt that many have been converted there. That was great. Rest in peace Aretha your music, your voice still inspires people❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The musicians are phenomenal! Scott Gwinnell, Jordan Schug, and Dave & Dave Zwolinski make magic with their musicianship! I’m so thankful for the jazz jam at the Aretha!
The Greatest Female Singer has joined God's Heavenly Choir! Rest In Peace Ms. Aretha Franklin, our Queen Of Soul. You are already missed, never to be forgotten! Your music frames the fabric of my life and for that, I truly thank and RESPECT you!!!!!!!
Aretha was so relaxed and comfortable letting the music flow and flourish from within, of and through her to others! The Sister Aretha lived and moved in her music!!!! Love you Aretha in the forever!
They never use to pay money to these great voices and what they singing now is getting millions such a shame these singers had melody in their voices never even need instruments God bless them even in their graces who are gone and who are left behind
Aretha not only represented the United States at its global best, in 1960's she knocked down racial barriers for Black people and all downtrodden individuals. Aretha refused to participate in any interviews, promotions, commercials, etc. that excluded Black people and all those downtrodden! Although substantial, considering Aretha's worldwide appeal, her estate seems small. Nonetheless Aretha's estate due to her catalog will provide income to whomever controls it for year to come another writer says. Returning to Aretha's small estate compared to her popularity, Aretha simply does not conform to the industry standards. So, when the stereotypical movie rolls came, she rejected them. TV appearances like recording materials that were demeaning and/or such, she rejected them. She was on one of those network morning shows and Aretha said into the mic this early in the morning, I should still be at the hotel! She remains the "Captain" of her career...More importantly, a beloved mother. “From These Roots”
I would like to say thank you to the person who owns this RUclips whoever is listening will be blessed for 2021 coming from Detroit Michigan legend Aretha Franklin. 🙏🏿💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚.

Amazing treasure, this concert. WOW. In top form, this incredible muse and spirit of music itself sings so full and free in this live concert! She is out of this world....sadly will be missed- a huge loss to our world.
Aretha Franklin and her songs are even so popular in Latin America, believe ir or not. A real diva in all the sense of the word. Saludos desde Panama, amigos.
There will never be another Aretha Franklin.

That was such a mama moment at 39.10-19 when she saw her son in the crowd and made his stand up. So relatable and real. Truly the QUEEN!
