  • "Living with the Past, Present and Future" was recorded on Sunday, Sept. 25, 1983 - a lecture by Manly P. Hall
    CC Subtitles:
The transcript to this lecture was once available as "Lecture Note 331" and the corrections from the audio recording were made by Mr. Hall himself. So, there may be slight differences between the audio and transcript, but we felt it was important to honor Manly Hall's edits.
The thumbnail image is from the movie, "The Time Machine" 1960, based on the H.G. Wells book.

So cool that these were recorded. They had no idea all of us would be here listening in the far future!

Mr. Hall had the insight to record these lectures, our aim is to make sure they are available for people to hear.

A teacher of the Ages. Truly amongst my tops.
His insight and applicable processes are in great need today. It's the masses that will need to embrace these virtues and integrity on an individual basis, learning to Govern Self. Thus creating a Society that will slowly reverse the mindset of greed, power, and control as we serve others.

Interesting. I didn't realize that. I think most people have a conception ofMr Hall that he's like a Parsons or a Crowley and think they're going to here some witchy dark things. When in fact even when he Discusses these topics he does it in an appropriately lighter way. Id have to say he's one of if not the wisest person I've heard that could lecture on and topic at anytime and probably be able give you receipts off the top of his head all without notes. He's way underestimated is probably not the right word. But he's censored by screwing his reputation. At least that's what keep me away from his wisdom earlier in my life. PeaCe@@ManlyHallSociety

We are still not mature enough, it's not a bad idea to have clowns on earth to make us smile or laugh.. Laughing is good because it expands the lungs.learn from babies when laughing and crying without any reasons.🤔

Good one but I believe the universe is inherently good. Definitely a 51 49 split for the good. It just takes a while for the cream to rise to the top. That's what makes it so enthralling because we are given the capacity to choose for ourselves which path we follow

Idk anyone with a realistic worldview who is looking forward to the future. The ONLY people I know who think we’re headed in the right direction, toward better times, are few and far between and the common denominator among them is that they have the worldview of a naive teenage girl.

my best friend in real life is this type of person with an unbeatable sense of optimism despite having been through so many personal and societal trauma. My take on this ability is that in his direct experience of those traumatic events, he had to make that choice between striving or collapsing, and it is through that accumulation of experience and choices that he gradually fortified his optimism and aligned himself with the bigger picture that MPH talks about
