Always interesting to what Ken has to say. I recall Ian Swinton and his three C's coming up to the line: Cool, Calm, Coc, er Collect! It helped to relax the sections & off to a very good attack. Gotd help us if it wasn't good, that would result in 60% of the next practice being attacks. Maybe title this series Conversations from the Judges Tent. I've learned so much as a Steward listening to & talking to the various judges. Looking forward to the next installment.

I learned so much from this! As a rookie grade 5 band piper, I have much to learn. I need to review this video multiple times to glean all knowledge it contains. Thank you so much for this free piping class!

Ken’s comment on tempo consistency in a QMM set is very interesting. Even with changing time signatures, keeping the tempo consistent is a subtle edge that an aspiring band can polish. Hidden gems like this are great. Thanks for interviewing Ken!

Great comments by Ken. Bands should review these ideas as they prepare for the upcoming competition season. Can't wait for the first drumming interview.
