I always say that the internal combustion engine is a delta P device. It makes power through pressure differential, and our job is to manage that
That's it mate 👌 getting as close to the point of negative returns as possible to maximise both velocity and our inertia filling mechanism
@@bainracing but it also carries on into the combustion cycle. We want to create the highest delta P with the smallest amount of pumping possible in order to maximise efficiency
@@theshed8802 Oh 100%, its why the discharge coefficient is so important to the complete flow path and also effects port stability and mass flow rates of the cylinder head. Its also why i try to keep the MSC as close to the seat as possible to reduce the losses when the saturation point moves from seat to port. This where the PD will be the same, but our inertial length changes. so you can have two ports with the same pressure differential. but the one with the longer inertial length will win every time.
Thanks for sharing what you learned the hard way. Bigger isn’t always better! 😅
100% velocity is the most important as this is what feeds inertia, and inertia supercharging is what makes HP 👌😉
Spot on! Good on you!
Thank you!
If you’re gasket matching, Stop It. 👍🎉
😅😅😅
😂👌 pretty much, as the saying goes. The gasket makers have no idea what your combo is, or the CSA you will need.
Well said
