The Amarnath Yatra opens up from 1st of July to 15th of August. The Yatra starts from Pahalgam as well as Baltal and since I was in Sonamarg, Baltal being just 14.5 kms away, I decided to discover why people from all over the country undertake this pilgrimage.
At the very beginning, I'd like to say that it is not easy. But the phenomenon of nature at the end of the hike is just incredible and completely worth the effort. Kashmir is home to some amazing sights!
We finally make our way towards the Holy Cave.
Thousands of people march towards the holy cave, some one foot, some on the backs of horses and donkeys, to witness the formation of a stalagmite in a cave deep within the mountains.
It is interesting to see how a belief leads men and women, young and old, to undertake a strenuous climb for a fleeting glimpse of this stalagmite.
The stalagmite forms as water drips from the ceiling of the cave and freezes due to freezing temperature.
The cave itself is huge and truly awe inspiring.

@@vaibhavchoudhary4895 Hope so koi dikkat na ho but waha baarish to normally hoti hi rehti hai per day waha but abhi rainy season chal raha hai abhi jyada baarish hogi kabhi kabhi to 2-3 din continiously barish hoti rehti h us time yatri ko permission nahi hoti treck per jane me mazboori me tent me rukna padta h

Such a nice virtual tour of Shri Amarnath Ji. I am also hiking this July from Baltal, this will be my first one, Any tips? Any place to stay in baltal 1 day earlier so we can start early next morning and come back and stay in baltal?
The hike starts early morning so previous night you have to stay in Baltal itself.
Before that you can stay in Sonamarg.
Koi muje please ye bataye ki agar me Pahalgam se chadai karu aur baltal se utru to fhir utrne ke bad kya hum apne aap se Srinagar, Jammu, vaishnodevi ghum sakte he kya ? Ya fhir sidha base camp (bhagvati nagar) return ane Ka report karna jaruri he? Please please koi bataye mujhe iska javab!

Ye jagha bann karna cahiye from tourist, yaha itna pollution karte, ki ye ek glacier khatam hojaega lagta he.. map me dekho yeh area pura snow capped hota hai.but abhi iska kya halat.he. I never new that kashmir have some most dirtiest place.feeling sad for our Himalayas.it will dead soon if this continues

Yes my friend. You need a medical certificate. Watch the previous video and you will get better idea.

Gross mismanagement by shrine board, dumping in waste at the same place, allowing thousands everyday. Amarnath, if allowed to happen like this by the authorities without any check, is a Kedarnath 2013 in making.
PS: This is supposed to be a religions pilgrimage. I fail to understand what's the Indian flag doing there? We don't see Indian flags at Kedarnath or Ayodhya. What's their job there? @ 10:47 and 11:00

Looking at such videos, it feels religion means peace but unfortunately, religion is used by vested interests (Politicans and political parties) to divide and rule. People should never believe any person or party that uses religion for any pupose! They don't care even 1% about religion. All they want is votes and power to rule. Hope majority people realize that religion is for peace and not fight for religious matters. Let's not vote for any party whose main agenda is religion. Vote for economic and human development.
