i don't really care that much that they are taking their time, but holy cow their comunication skills are worrying. i don't like twitter/x so i don't have an account and there's a lot of "hidden stuff" that you can only read or see if you have an account and i'm not making one just for scrap mechanic, but every now and then a small "devblog" i don't know, call them "tinyblogs" talking about what's going on, like a 15 words text on steam so people know that they are actively working on the game. i'm not asking for once a week nor even once a month, but heck, before the out-of-nowhere wedge update they took a whole year ( november 2023 to december 2024) to show vital signs. they could just post a roadmap or something because i fail to understand they way of thinking.. i'm not mad that they don't update the game, but posting an update every now and then would be greatly appreciated.. (which is actually what people complain about, most people don't care they take longer for the game update itself)
tbf i would just love the ground not being as slippery as butter because it's just a pain to do anything and find out your vehicle is like 3 miles away because you left it at an 1º incline.
I was going to say there's zero chance they'd do any kind of fluid dynamics, but then I realized that probably wasn't what you meant. More like how objects interact with water and how parts/blocks burn and the fire propagate to the next block? Yeah, that sound more plausible.
air physics are coming in a later chapter as this chapter is based around underground and story, they will make a future chapter based upon air and flying later on (said in the Q&A)
their communication skills are worse than my ex. all jokes aside I hope they can get it out completed and not unfinished but advertised like it works perfectly

TLDR
They want to put in the ground work for water physics, air physics and fire physics
They are working on making scrap mechanic better

makes me hopeful ily for the tldr

@ I was just saying their working on many physics changes

If it wasn't delayed, would it still be a Scrap Mechanic update?
no shit its delayed
because it is developed by axolot
