- Policy trailer for the now defunct Wometco Theatres in Florida, produced when graphics were shot on an animation stand in multiple passes over long hours and you didn't know what you had until you got the film back from the lab.
I miss this theater, memories galore in the 80's in Miami. I first saw this at The Miracle Theater on Miracle Mile when I was 7 right before watching Lethal Weapon lol.
True Miami right there! Wometco just about owned every entertainment entity in this town back in the day, from the theaters to the seaquarium to WTVJ, I'm sure they owned other stuff too
The rules of the movies.
Before no texting was added to the rules of the movies.
No talking.
No smoking.
No littering.
I used to gag when I saw “crystal light” come on the screen lol. I tried it once as a kid and after that could never stomach it.
Same! The crystal light taste being bad, not the pavlov thing.
MEMORIES!!!! First movie I saw in a Wometco was Lethal Weapon at the Wometco Miracle Theater (now Actor's Playhouse) in Coral Gables FL. I think this was played back in 1987(can't be sure). I remember for sure seeing this in later years before the chain went defunct.
Thanks for posting :)
First time I saw this was in Miami when I went to see Lethal Weapon with my dad. Memories!!!
I think this policy trailer is from like 1986 or 1987.
LOL! Very 80s, love it! :-)
Please put all future mobile phones on silent during the presentation.
This is definitely a South Florida chain
Some Of These Ideas Are Also Used At The Santikos As Well In San Antonio, TX.
I can't make out the copyright text in the corner of the "annoying couple" segment but it looks like Willming-Reams. Cinemark's 2nd Front Row Joe policy trailer uses the same projection/temperature text, and their animation is also very fluid.
Yeah, the policy trailer from defunct Wotemco Theaters is scream South Florida in the 80s.
VAPORWAVE
Esta genial muy representativo
The Dolphin Shoals sax music of movie theater policy trailers
@lastgarlicfinger It was also made available in fountain form at some places I remember.
No spoilers allowed!!!
Are those Beavis's parents @0:59? The guy sure sounds like him!!
I knew!
No they are not, they are the loud talkers. They love to talk loud in the movie theaters and spoil throughout the whole movie.
It sure does look like the same style Bevis and Butthead was in though it's not. Bevis and Butthead were in a "No talking during the film" PSA like that though in the mid-2000's to early 2010's at RAVE Motion Pictures though.
@@tamacat2001 no, they are the loud talkers. They love to talk loud in the movie theaters and spoil throughout the whole movie.
@@VictorGonzalez-xs9oc I said it's not Bevis and Butthead, I just noticed it used the same style as that show.
The music gives me Mario Kart vibes.
0:59 TALK
Those two loud mouth schnooks are talking very loudly and that disturbs people. 1:00
Located in some South Florida cities.
Sick beat yo
Do they mean Crystal Light as in that drink that requires water and pre-packaged powder if you were making it at home?
This was in FLORIDA?!
No smoking in this theatre.
i am starting to see similarities to santiko theaters policy trailer.
NO SCREAMING IN THE MOVIES!
The baby might be screaming, rather than crying.
The baby's crying, not screaming.
And it’s annoying!
@insaniak80 Los gemelos del mall. I saw so many movies there as a kid. I wish I could remember the trailers. :(
Were they linked to Wometco Home Theatre, which was known as WHT in NYC???
1989, 1990, 1991, 1992
Please take crying babies to the lobby?! Nowadays there are celphones to compete with. :P
Most still remember to quiet their phones, you know.
1:00 LOL
Why is this on VHS when it was obviously meant for theatrical projection?
what year was it when wometco went out of business?
QUIET! No talking during the movie.
Get those loud mouth schnooks out of here!
(Later..) Muuuuuch better!
ahaahah neat as always, but what an unfortunate name for a discount theature.....I'm willing to bet a lot of people scratched the W to a V
Was Wometco Theatres sold or bankrupt?
