Yifeng empathetically dished out a great piece of advice to the younger Fiona!
I believe that Fiona, is more aware of mortality, than most. That awareness, makes her value things that others tend to find strange. Her priorities and her actions are all in reaction to that keen awareness of her own mortality.
there’s something beautiful and tragic all at the same time within these 2 interviews. i grew up remembering Fiona as someone that was daring and she has proven it true with her life. what a body of work that’s been accomplished nonetheless. love on, Fiona!

I agree that she should love herself more but why people doubt her choice to choose love/family over work? She has very good reasoning that work that's always another what's next but the Right One and a family to settle and go to next stage of life is more important
It’s not that others doubt her choice, it’s the responsibility of finishing a job. The conflict here was that she took up a job to film but left for love. Perhaps the more “adult” thing to do is to either reject the job or complete your one last job then go for love and marriage. Because at least from what she explained, it wasn’t an urgent or do or die situation.
Compared to prev episodes, where Fann Wong’s future father-in-law passed away, and she wanted to just take a few days leave to stop filming and go back to Singapore but she wasn’t allowed to, and she didn’t defy it and stayed. I guess this was more of a controversial point to argue cos being responsible and being supportive to love ones are both not wrong choices.
I used to dislike her so much but this interview made my view changed. 100% changed. I'm glad she attended this talk show. It makes a lot of difference in the way people perceive her.

Hope she stays strong in not giving up finding her happiness and not just putting up a happy face in front of the camera. There's nothing wrong with putting love first. Different people prioritize differently. Also different people have different opinions. Doesn't mean that what u view is wrong, and others view it the same.

I think Jon Chu was not serious in making a sequel about Kitty Pong. He just made it up in order to lure Fiona into accepting the role. haha. But I do think she fit the role of the female lead in Crazy Rich Asians. Someone who would give up everything for her Mr Right.
Kitty Pong character plays a major role in Crazy Rich Asians sequel so John Chu wasnt lying.
