Got chills when I heard Elsa dutton
Great start to this show. It bought tears to my eyes to hear Isabel May as Elsa in the beginning, It was heart breaking to see the scenes with the Indian girls, won't say what I screamed at the TV. Great casting on this show can't wait for the next episode.
I am surprised it was included. As for the Nuns. When I was in Catholic school, some of the Nuns were brutal!
While the abuse of Indians under the Catholic church is historical,
I so agree! I gasped when I hear Isabel's voice. She was awesome in 1883 and I so wished we could have seen more of that era and her.
Happy for James got the role. Dude was great in the Pacific
I expect this so much! Greetings from Argentina!🇦🇷
Congrats on the win bro WC
@@oliveirasingson7592 estoy muy contento por la Copa😭🔥🇦🇷🏆 Muchas Gracias!!
Eaaaaaa muchachooooo! Aca otra fan argentina de toda la familia Dutton. Increible cada serie el nivel de calidad
Harrison Ford, riding into the town at the top at the age of 80! 💘 The man is strong! I love his work!
The first episode had me in both tears and aww , I’m so excited to learn more about the history of all the people who now call Montana their home ❤
I’ve only been to Montana 3 times, but once you go, you will pronounce it with a Capital M! Not kidding!
This was a good start of a new spin-off! Can’t wait for more. And what happened to Margaret was very sad and tragic 😢
Sequel to the prequel more than a spinoff.
@@roaklin regardless….
The trailer looked great. The characters are amazing. Can’t wait to see the next generation of Duttons when this comes out on DVD.
@@vkr6516 well it 1923 so maybe black and white and silent film be more accurate?
The one new episode of 1923 was more exciting then the whole current season of Yellowstone has been
Season 5 takes so much effort to focus on. Id even say it's a chore
I actually love the less soap opera drama more western theme of season 5. I feel like they're always telling us about the ranch way of life they're trying so hard to save but this is the first time they've really shown us
@@shannonr8812 true
I'm liking season 5 so far. The "murder someone every other episode" was unrealistic
let's just enjoy the fifth season, enjoy the calm and the landscapes, this season looks like a painting.
but I don't think it will end well, someone will die.
Yall should've cast Daniel-Day Lewis in this.. Everything he does is gold, and a Role for him on this would be awesome
If they ever make a film or tv adaptation of Red Dead Redemption, it would be a crime if Taylor Sheridan isn’t given the job to do it!
He would do James Marston and his family justice.
I would love that. He could even make a spinoff series with Jack Marston and call it “1914” or something.
I think Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 are already movies and television in itself.
Im so ready for this!
Looks very interesting can't wait to it's on DVD 😃
Off to a great start!!
I am soooo ready for this!!!
Hell Yeah! 🔥
I can't wait for more!
Love this.
The nun scene was of character for this series and show.
Very entertaining! Enjoyed it immencely
This Is A Great Show Its Has A Good Story line 😎
Thinking about setting up a SAMCRO booth at my town's Christmas Parade. Hopefully across the street from the Yellowstone booth. Never forget the Redwood Originals.
Curious on if they'll do generational gaps like next will be 1953 or something
It does seem exciting! It mirrors the story of what is happening in Sutton, Vt. In the 21st century. With global energy companies wanting to put in solar and wind projects, and this kind of times community who it left the way it is!
I'm curious to when they will come out with a 1992?
Can't wait the next series about the Dutton's distant Polish hard working ranching family in 1936 Warsaw
So far 100 excellent
Hello Judy
Enjoyed the first episode. I'm a little worried how they will balance out the 3 main storylines that are happening all at once (Duttons vs Scottish sheep herders, African Hitman, and Sister Act)
Jack will die, young man in Africa will come home and marry his fiancé and the Indian girls are gonna run away from the nuns and end up on the ranch
Can't wait for the next episode 🤠 👍👍
The parts involving Spencer Dutton look like they’re drawing from the life of real big game Hunter Frank Buck. Especially with the incident of the two Leopards except for Buck that happened in India.
Cuando la pasan...por ARGENTINA 🇦🇷???
Hello there
I'm curious about these raving reviews based on one episode.
The age of the characters is troubling. John Dutton Sr. was 5 years old in 1883, he should be 45 years old in 1923.
Jacob Dutton stated he arrived in 1894, Elsa stated in narration that her mother, Margaret Dutton was frozen dead in a snow drift when Jacob arrived. That would mean Spencer Dutton was born in 1893 or earlier, making him at least 30. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought both characters appeared younger than they should
Too much eggnogg I think>
I got a big ol' grin when I heard Elsa's voice.
Sheridan, the Babe Ruth of television, hits another homer.
Why do people need to analyze everything to death? It's a t.v. show not a documentary.
Im slightly confused by 1:11. There are plastic sheets and a modern pickup along with what looks like modern power infrastructure in the scene.
That's a behind the scenes shot.
In The Beginning.
1:18 So Jacob Dutton is the older brother of James Dutton. James Duttoon who was like 45 in 1883. That would make him 85 in 1923. So Jacob is like 90? Holds up well for his age
Yeah I was trying to figure that out too.
How many generations are there?
7
The character played by James Badge Dale is the same character that Audie Rick played in 1883. According to his time line he would be 45. His character fits that timeline. Spencer is James's other son. He's the WWI vet hunting in Africa. He was the younger son in that flashback when James comes home and dies. He looked to be about 6 years old. That would mean he was born in 1887. That would make him about 35-36 years old. Here's what we learned. Margaret wrote to Jacob for help after James died. A year later, when he arrives in Montana, he finds her dead. He said he got to Montana in 1894. In the narration, Elsa says that of Margaret and James' three children, only one would live to see their own children. That only one carried on the family name. And that would be Jack, the one getting married. He eventually becomes Kevin Costner's grandfather. Which means the Dabney Coleman character will be Jack's son.
1. James
2. John
3. Jack
4. John II (Dabney Coleman)
5. John III (Kevin Costner)
6. Kayce
7. Tate. Half Native American and a member of the Broken Rock tribe. Thus fulfilling Spotted Eagle's prophecy that in 7 generations the Native Americans would own the land again.
@@Ignats75 thank you for the breakdown, it can get confusing.
As someone that hasn't watched any Yellowstone episode, in either era; should one begin with Yellowstone, then se 1883 followed by 1923? Or do it chronologically?
Which characters are James and Margaret Dutton's sons from 1883? It seems everyone is referring to Jacob and Cora Dutton as Aunt and Uncle. I'm assuming John Sr. and Spencer are Jame's and Margrett's son's. So who does Jack belong to. He clearly refers to Cora as Aunt and Jacob calls him nephew.
Jack is James' son. Which doesn't bode well for Spencer.
Wikipedia says Jack is John Sr.'s son
@@tchrishoward and where is John then?
Ser Bronn of the fucking Blackwater Bay is fucking around with Indiana Jones ... I like it!
Bronn was my favorite character after Terrion.
@@Ignats75, Terrion was Tyrion’s dog.
At this point they could do a sci-fi show where an old Tate is vying for dominance over a post-apocalyptic Montana against Jamie’s illegitimate kids and it would be a massive hit.
Where the hell is, Damn it... Isabel May?!
I hate it when they cast good, known actors for two or three episodes and then kill'em off... please don't.
Oh my god no
Looks like a bunch of this going on right now.
why is the time line so far off between these 3 shows
the ages of the people in 1883 to 1923 to yellowstone now don't add up
How do they not? It's not hard to understand
How so, in 1883, there was only one Dutton son, and in the prologue set in 1893 they had another son. So one's in their 40s-50s and the other in their 30s. Makes sense for the older son to have another son in his early 20s since people marry young back then. John Dutton's father from Yellowstone either is a child or hasn't been born yet in 1923.
@@har795 James in 1883 had 2 sons actually John and Spencer, a 3rd son was born after they moved to the Yallowstone.
@TwoFeatherChannel Why do you say that? The character played by James Badge Dale is the same character that Audie Rick played in 1883. According to his time line he would be 45. @@santorizzuto7360 John and Elsa in 1883. Then Spencer sometime before 1893
Seems like a good show but I’m wondering when are occasional bandits are going to show up this is rural 1920’s west America there has got at least be some cattle rustlers and Homestead thieves in the show. Horse travel was extremely normal out there throughout the entire 1920s so where are the “Wild West style” criminals on horses… this is the 1920s so obviously that’s more a rare occurrence at this point but there needs to be some wild West style banditry in the show.
Jesus Christ, it was one episode. Sheridan makes his plots methodical. Just wait and watch.
Love Yellowstone love what is coming however WHY the you have to add the part of THOSE TWO KISSING you know what am talking about that makes me not wanting to keep with Yellowstone WHY you are man of integrity from what I see WHY you didn’t need to put that in there am only one person that I didn’t like it, I know this thing about man and a man woman and a woman is something the go back millions and millions of generations hosting was something keep some who private now is like is taking over and am sorry I do not agreed am a person that for me is only two genders a man and a woman specially in the cowboy life, thank you for an amazing show the way you produce directs you do not need that, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023 from 1 of millions of fans 🙏
I’m now looking forward to the American Indian side of this story. Lt. Dumb Bear step aside!
Wow!!!! It would be so refreshing to see something of value. I am not happy with man because God does own the grass the whole world and our world is passing away. Yes, you all need to be entertained. Sorry those who see the world as it is see that we need to all be awake and have a mind to get rid of nonsense and this bull shit! Search for truth! It is a minute to midnight!
Such a sad and lame life you must lead.
Well looking at the time. I would say a bloody sheep war, and also like the Kennedy's bootlegging of Crown Royal from Canada!
I'm not impressed. The opening scene with her killing that guy? I hope that was a stuffed lion? Too much killing once again..
Humans kill 🤷🏻♂️
Unfortunately for me and me only, the scenes that include the Native American girls at the boarding school is a little too much. I'm an African American male and the mistreatment of the girls just bring haunting visions of what was done to some of my ancestors. It's just heartbreaking. Otherwise, I like what Sheridan is doing. I'm not bashing, just disappointed 😥.
So it’s a paid series? The free series is better.
Wdym...I just watched it free by downloading it like evry other series
@@oliveirasingson7592 the whole series for free?
And you know that already? smh. "Some people just want to watch the world burn."----Michael Caine as Alfred in the Dark Knight Rises.
Stop being poor
Harrison Ford is basically relegated to a minor, subsidiary role in the show. That disappointed me.
Dude it's the first fucking episode
Why are they showing the same thing over and over again
I was disappointed in this show. Loved 1883 and Yellowstone, this show attempts to move too many story lines and never ties them together as a single goal…
It’s the 1st episode you dumbass. Why all the stories connect now😂? Like have you watched tv before. When is everything tied up on 1 episode?
I've just watched a bit of the first episode and I'm not too impressed with it.
It's more about Africa and Helen Mirren with a dodgy accent. Harrison doesn't last beyond episode 3! Yellowstone it ain't.
I don't know about all of you I'm sure this doesn't apply to a pretty good hand size people out there but the program Yellowstone's getting to be old hat same old same old stuff ripped being rip death being some wire bad ass chick who never seems to have any consequences and the dad was clearly lost his mind Kevin Costner starting to look pretty dodgy there yeah the show's time to be over
Too bad Bozeman is being destroyed by Californians
Too much of the truth of what happened to the natives and the evil of mankind. I won't watch this series.
I hope this show isn't anywhere near as bad as the first episode... 40 years after the 1883 series the Dutton ranch is populated with 0 characters from that show and there's a 100 year old Irish Helen Miren and Harrison Ford that do not connect to the other show at all. So all of the Duttons that founded the ranch in 1883 are written off and there is now an entirely different bloodline of Duttons that are pushing 100, 40 years later. The writing is so bad it hurts my head to try to accept it.
