its how these channels work, do 1 less than they say or make obvious mistakes so that people comment it, giving their video more retention and makes the yt algorithm think its popular
My brother and I used red markers way back in the day! We had a few Lego storm troopers that our dog chewed up; perfect battlefield casualties with the red marker ink! Now I build and paint minis (Warhammer, Bolt Action! etc.) and if you have a few extra dollars laying around, Citadel (Games Workshop paint company) makes some really good blood effects, particularly, ‘blood for the blood god,’ if I remember correctly that is what it’s called. Looks very realistic. If it looks great on scale miniatures, I’m sure it would look great on Lego mini figs!
This is a really cool yet messy and hard to clean up way: Take some corn syrup and add some red food coloring and mix it, then add a tiny bit of blue food coloring and mix it.
For some reason people agree with the third option even though it Damages the Minifigure and destroys the paint on it. The paint isnt permanent you can literally scratch it off
For one Moc I did years ago I used modeling tools, paint, and an rc car body hole drill for setting spots for the clips to make it look like bulletholes.

Citadel blood for the blood god paint. Could do some light damage when you take it off but it goes away somewhat easily.
The effect is unmatched
the 2nd and 3rd option were so good
3rd is the worst one because sometimes there are scratches in the plastic and when you draw on them it gets stuck in there
3rd option seems like the best option.
