  • In week 1 of the 2022 NFL season between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks, on Monday Night Football, Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett had some of the worst clock management and decision making you're ever going to see. With the Broncos trailing by 1 point with a minute left and all of their timeouts, Hackett did the unthinkable with his stupidity, completely costing his team the game in the process. This is a breakdown of that dumb decision

    What makes this even worse is that he watched McManus miss the 64-yarder badly (when Pete Caroll stupidly decided to take a timeout) and didn't rethink things. He then proceeded to try to call timeouts while Geno Smith was kneeling because he seemed to think he still had three timeouts. Nathaniel Hackett looks extremely clueless and like he's about to take a promising and loaded Broncos team to the bottom.

      This game was fixed yall. How cant yall see through this. I said this was gonna be fixed before it started, being 80% of the money was on denver covering the spread(not to mention all the money line bets. And its not a suprise being the spread was of course 6.5. Denver had all this preseason hype and everyone thinks seattle will suck(rightfully so). So all the casual bettors and then some, will get sucked in thinking denver wins by at least a td. Then of course denver has an insane amount of penalties called against them.

    Another thing you're missing. The Seahawks took a time out to ice the kicker, but called it late. So, McManus essentially got a free practice kick. And missed it badly. Then, Hackett decided to prolong the game by taking his two remaining time outs while the Seahawks were in victory formation. Not only that, but he seemed to be arguing with the referee on when exactly he took them, like an extra 1-2 seconds makes a big difference.

    • @CyberchaoX
      @CyberchaoX Год назад +1

      Absolutely crazy. It's obvious that the first timeout was taken when it was specifically to run off as much time as possible, to minimize the amount of time for Seattle to come back down 19-17. That timeout only makes sense if he was planning to go for the field goal all along. And then to forget that you'd used that timeout?
      ...Clearly he was still a bit confused that he wasn't ahead.

    Another video where a parallel to a recent Detroit Lions game exists:
    • In Week 3 of the 2021 season _v._ the Baltimore Ravens, on the final play of the game, Justin Tucker nailed a 66-yard field goal to take Detroit to 0-3, and giving Tucker the current record for longest made FG in NFL history.
    I honestly believe we will see a 70-yard field goal attempted again and at some point, one will be made from that distance. It’s only a matter of time.

      Yeah. But that kick was at the very end of the game. The Ravens options were to try from 66 with Tucker or try a Hail Mary. If that was what the Broncos were dealing with, I'd get it. But even at 20 seconds, they had enough time to get to within 50.
