Coming back after Hackett got fired, the 4th in NFL history during their first season. This video could not have aged any better. “This is the best case to fire a coach after 1 game”
When this whole thing manifested, I automatically went, "I'M SORRY, WHAT???" in JaguarGator9 voice. And funny you mentioned Urinatingtree in the beginning- I can't wait for the first episode of Sportsball after this horrendous set of decisions by Nathaniel Hackett. By the way, the Broncos inability to score a touchdown while deep in the Seahawks red zone on THREE CONSECUTIVE DRIVES is completely unacceptable.
What makes this even worse is that he watched McManus miss the 64-yarder badly (when Pete Caroll stupidly decided to take a timeout) and didn't rethink things. He then proceeded to try to call timeouts while Geno Smith was kneeling because he seemed to think he still had three timeouts. Nathaniel Hackett looks extremely clueless and like he's about to take a promising and loaded Broncos team to the bottom.

The cherry on top of this was that he then called the remaining 2 timeouts while Seattle was in kneel down mode, even though there was zero chance of getting the ball back.
Another thing you're missing. The Seahawks took a time out to ice the kicker, but called it late. So, McManus essentially got a free practice kick. And missed it badly. Then, Hackett decided to prolong the game by taking his two remaining time outs while the Seahawks were in victory formation. Not only that, but he seemed to be arguing with the referee on when exactly he took them, like an extra 1-2 seconds makes a big difference.
Absolutely crazy. It's obvious that the first timeout was taken when it was specifically to run off as much time as possible, to minimize the amount of time for Seattle to come back down 19-17. That timeout only makes sense if he was planning to go for the field goal all along. And then to forget that you'd used that timeout? ...Clearly he was still a bit confused that he wasn't ahead.

I’m a huge Denver Broncos fan and I watched this game last night and I could not believe they tried a 64 yard field goal. Like seriously. Why would you go ahead and try to attempt a 64 yard field goal when you had two timeouts left with 20 seconds left. And it was 4th&5
I could see if you had a backup or highly inexperienced QB playing, but Russell Wilson? Why trade the assets and give him the money if you're gonna bench him for a freaking kicker, who has a career 52% accuracy from 50+ yards (vs roughly 45% odds of converting on 4th down)?
Broncos had poor time management the whole game. There were multiple delay of game penalties, including two of them on one of the failed red zone drives. Should not be shocking after that that they would be stupid with the clock at the end.
lmfao.... that is hilarious!! Although to be honest, as a coffee drinker, I would buy that mug. And if nothing else, let the Washington Huskies sell them!!
To be fair, if you are gonna go for the field goal, then you want to run the clock down so there's no time left for the opponent...BUT they should've used the opportunity to try getting the defense to jump offsides.
Bro with 20 seconds 2 timeouts on 4th & 5 I would of ran a Play Action play on 4th down. Jerry Jeudy, & Sutton were dropping passes but not a 5 yard route. Even if you failed to convert on 4th I'd rather take that loss than trying to set a new NFL record

I think Matt Eberflus had a nice debut, made great halftime adjustments and got an upset win
His halftime adjustment was a prayer to Thor, the God of Thunder, and a rainstorm came in and leveled the literal playing field. Those conditions favor the prepared.
Knew this was going to be the video as soon as I heard what happened
This is hacketts first HC job at any level, he’s always been an offensive coach but he has without fail put together lame duck offenses.
After last season, Denver needed serious help on the offensive side of the ball so what do they do? They hire a guy who has never had any serious success at running an offense!
Great job Broncos.
Is he Paul Hackett’s son ? Paul Hackett was a horrible play caller for Dallas long ago
He's an offensive coach alright. Offended all the Broncos fans.
@@hermixtonen yep he’s his son, Nathaniel first NFL coaching gig by the way was on the buccaneers at the exact same time his dad was QB coach there. Guy has basically ridden his dads name for his entire career.
If I were part of the Bronco Nation, I would be asking for his head. What a dumb ass decision!
Call timeout… clock winding down… Call timeout…. clock winding down… Call Timeout… clock winding down… CALL TIMEOUT!!!!
Timeout taken with 20 seconds left
why are you trotting the field goal team out…?
Seahawks call their final timeout to ice the kicker
Ok, trot the offense back out to get the first down… and WHY IS THE FIELD GOAL UNIT STILL ON THE FIELD?!
I couldn't believe it watching the game last night. I thought they were going for it. So stupid.
Broncos had poor time management the whole game. There were multiple delay of game penalties, including two of them on one of the failed red zone drives. Should not be shocking after that that they would be stupid with the clock at the end.

Thank you Kim and Terry Pegula

I want a dumb decisions on Washington Commanders putting the shape of Washington The State on their mugs and actually selling them!!!
lmfao.... that is hilarious!! Although to be honest, as a coffee drinker, I would buy that mug. And if nothing else, let the Washington Huskies sell them!!
So those of us who are on the couch are smarter than about 10% of the supposed smartest minds in the NFL... and it's only Week 1.
Tell me you're a first time head coach without telling me you're a first time head coach.
To be fair, if you are gonna go for the field goal, then you want to run the clock down so there's no time left for the opponent...BUT they should've used the opportunity to try getting the defense to jump offsides.
I was watching the game live and thought I was high when seeing it
Bro with 20 seconds 2 timeouts on 4th & 5
I would of ran a Play Action play on 4th down. Jerry Jeudy, & Sutton were dropping passes but not a 5 yard route.
Even if you failed to convert on 4th I'd rather take that loss than trying to set a new NFL record
it isn't a new one cause justin tucker hit that kick last year
@@finnhall9478 with all due respect to Brandon McManus, he's not Justin Tucker.
Did Hackett watch the previous day's games and their eleventy billion missed or blocked field goals?
I was watching this game and I thought for sure you would have made a dumb decisions video on this game. I would have been UTTERLY shocked if you didn't. That was the most ATROCIOUS clock management I've ever seen. Just DUMBFOUNDED. However I'm glad the Seahawks won.
After this play occurred during the game, I said out loud, "Welcome to Dumb Decisions," clearly imagining JG9 doing a video of this idiot sandwich.
Don’t forget even after that and the hawks got the ball back he had the nerve to use both his timeouts
Gotta love a coach being on the hot seat after his first week. If week 1 is any indication, Hackett won't be the head coach the next time the Broncos have a week 1 game.
Mike McCarthy: whew, I’m safe
I saw this game last night and I couldn't understand this play call either!
More like Nathaniel Can't Hackett!
If that's the best he can do, he's gonna make it look like Russell has to thank the Legion of Boom for his Super Bowl ring.
Another game where I’m yelling at the TV! And I know JaguarGator will have something to say about it.
This unofficial Official Jaguar Gator 9 historian believes this is the earliest you’ve yelled, “I’m sorry, WHAT?!”
2022 NFL season: the season of Dumb Decisions
Still not worse than not running lynch from the goalline in superbowl 49
Lots of Dumb Decisions in week 1 and I saw it as it aired live.
Welcome to Dumb Decisions 7:12
Watching that live, I knew a video was coming but I am shocked at how fast this came out!
Just gonna say that the Seahawks exceeded expectations
The, Bar, Was, The, Floor, once they start playing real competition, things will go the way they're supposed to, definitely.
This game was absolutely infuriatng. The kick at the end was just the fucking icing on the cake. Hackett looks out of his element.
Apple doesnt fall far from the tree. His dad was awful as head coach. Ironically, his dad was replaced by Pete Carroll at USC 21 years ago
You can't spell Hackett without HACK.
I knew this was coming LOL
"Never distract your enemy when they are making a mistake!" Napoleon Bonaparte
I couldn't believe the stupidity I witnessed last night.
It’s funny cause Zac Taylor should have done what Nathaniel Hackett did. And Nathaniel Hackett should have done what Zac Taylor did.
That truly was a dumb decision
Looks like he just could not Hackett in Week 1
I had to check online today about this clock management. Listened to the game last night at work, and Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner were completely baffled at what he was doing and why he was letting the clock run. Definitely a head scratcher
People still listen to fotball games?

@leo getz I totally get that I would do the same thing.
hey, at least this led to the coldest quote by geno smith “they wrote me off, i ain’t write back tho”
I was waiting on this lol
As soon as I saw that, I thought "I cannot wait for the JaguarGator9 video on this!" Also, I had no idea UrinatingTree and FivePointsVids had a podcast despite loving those guys (and everyone on Clickbait Sports), so thank you for exposing me to that as well.
Its almost like the TV show why planes crash once you make one bad decision it just steam rolls
