@@BoundlessImmigrationDoes that count for Canada too? I am set to be a US citizen and am curious if I will still keep my Canadian citizenship (I was born in Canada)
Do you have any good resources outlining the process of the Beibehaltungsantrag if a German citizen seeks permission to retain German citizenship prior to applying for US citizenship?

I’m not sure if you’re able to answer my question, but my wife’s fathers mother was born in America and is from the Blackfeet nation in Montana. My wife’s father is born in Canada but also a member of the Blackfeet nation with dual citizenship. He’s never lived in the US but has spent summers during his teenage years. Would my wife be considered dual citizen?

I was born in Mexico, naturalized in 2007, married in 2009. Upon marriage, my hubby became naturalized a few years later. If I wanted to get dual Mexican citizenship, I can just visit my local consulate and apply for my Mexican passport? Would getting dual citizenship null my husband's naturalization? If I wanted my kids to have dual Mexican citizenship, I would apply for them? And my hubby is from St Kitts and Nevis, so our kids could potentially have 3 citizenships? Thank you for the info!!
Applicants will need to contact their local embassy to go through the passport process. We are unaware of the requirements for other countries. However, the US does not punish immediate relatives if dual citizenship is acquired.
Since you were born in Mexico, you are still a mexican national despite your naturalization to the US. Go to the nearest Mexican consulate and inquire about the documentation requirements. Likely they can pull your Mexican birth certificate and work with you to get an ID card (INE) and passport.

For India and China, do you mean if I hold an Indian or Chinese citizenship and became an American, they won't recognise me right? But they will recognise my citizenship if I'm not from those countries and planned to visit right? When I heard you said that they don't recognise your citizenship in their soil, I was like will they say, sorry you are not American, give us your original nationality passport. That would be funny
I don't think they'll recognize since America allow dual citizenship whit friendly nation from Nato, and between India, China, America the trio long then scratching their backs and I don't think you will be allowed the three of them unless specific conditions or you're an honorary citizen of your country of birth.
This is so gonna help me in my test.
My Parents are Jamaican and I am just an american and kid.
I just became a US Citizen yesterday. I was born in Mexico. Do I have to do anything in order to have both citizenships or do I automatically have it?
You will automatically have it.
Ll
Congrats! [little late]

Is that income tax requirement for income abroad dependent on the state of residence?
