  • This is a lovely bright tune for the whistle in the key of A… so a good one for practicing your G sharps!!
    It was composed by John Martin, the fiddle player with Scottish band the Tannahill Weavers and the tune is named after his parents’ house in North East England.
    Thanks to Deirdre for the accompaniment on guitar… we do like to play this one with Réalta!

    I take it you been taught the tin whistle, rather than learning it by ear?

      Like most traditional musicians I learn most tunes by ear
