St. Joseph is quite nice! I'm glad you enjoyed the background music. The pizza place was really good! It gets busy as it is really popular. Thanks for watching!
I am in St.Joe right now, going back home to Indiana this morning. Watched the fireworks last night off the bluff. Over the years a lot has changed here. I know, at 72 years old I have been coming here since I was a kid. My greatgrandfathers farm was on John Beers Rd. My great aunt lived on Church st. Over the years Chicago tourists would head to New Buffalo, as years have gone by they have found South Haven to go to. But in recent years people have found St. Joe to be a great getaway. Met people from Arizona last nite, and noticed a lot of far away state licence plates.
Thanks for sharing! It's amazing how many people from all over are checking out the area now and that it is not just people from Chicago or from other areas of Michigan.
I worked in downtown St Joseph at Nuechterlein camera, now longer there. I have not been back in almost 30 years. I was there when they had the Venetian festival. I wish I would have enjoyed my time there better. Nice people to work for and I enjoyed the downtown area and lake. Over in Benton Harbor there was an interesting amusement park called the House of David amusement park, which also had a baseball team.
@@scottman895 Another neat area you may want to explore is Saugatuck Douglas area near Grand Rapids. Many from the Chicago area enjoy visiting. There's lot to do and it has a cool vibe. In the Same area I would stop by Holland, Michigan, visit the Dutch Village and the outlet malls. In Saugatuck make sure to take the paddleboat cruise with the Star of Saugatuck! Happy trails.
Thanks! Although I have not been to it, St. Joseph does have the Heritage Museum and Cultural Center which has different exhibits and items pertaining to St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, and the area around that part of Southwest Michigan.
Nice! St. Joseph is a cool city! Same with the one in Missouri! I can’t wait for the freeway vid! Also, Dima, if you're in the comment section, could you check out my playlists?
🚀🚀I remember in the late 60's when I was a test tester for NASA space food made by Whirlpool at their old Silver Beach facility. All I can say is they make much better appliances than food.🚀🚀
@@scottman895 GE appliances division got bought by Haier a while ago. It seems that in general the German and South Korean brands have eaten into the American brands marketshare.
@jessli369 Well, it can get harsh when we get lake effect snow, which can develop with the winds from Lake Michigan and then get inland. Depending on where the lake effect the snow band goes with the direction of the wind, it could lead to a lot of now, maybe a foot or more.
Growing up there silver beach was an amusement park back then, many memories.
Very cool! It would have been neat to see the amusement park there back in the day.
Very beautiful st Joseph city in michigan
Beautiful little town. Love the touch of jazz you've added as background. I'm gonna have to head there sometime to get some of that pizza!

Have you been to Adrian Michigan ?
Great little town on the River Raisin river.
I have! Adrian is quite a nice town.
Can you recommend any good museums to see? Great video!

Ontario has a St Joseph Island, in Lake Huron, across from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
That's very cool!
@@scottman895 it seems Catholic hospitals are often named after St Joseph too.
@@robertsitch1415 I've noticed that too. There are quite a few around the Metro Detroit area.

It seems that Whirlpool has bought up most of the American appliance brands that are still around.
Gotcha, that makes sense. I haven't seen too many other kinds except for maybe GE (General Electric).

Im, as a subcriber, live around this area!
Very cool!
How harsh are the winters there? I read not bad but is that true?
