One day I went to manually turn off my pre SMART tv 42" tv and when I pressed one of the buttons and a black screen with a 240 of something and I couldn't turn my tv off, all I could do was go up or down on the menu changing the numbers. Not knowing what I was messing with the numbers, moved the number down to 0. I couldn't exit the menu and instead unplugged my tv and restarted it and now the picture is crappy with horizontal lines. WHAT DID I DO? Can you help me fix it?
Hi! I own an ue55es6100 (Europe model) and I'm searching for a way to enable the bluetooth for all the devices. I already entered the service menu and searched for a free pairing bt enabling option.. But I'm unable to find it. I think that this option is inside an "expert" menu that is, unfortunately, grayed out. for universal remote there could only one problem with info button. But if its already has been setup for your TV it should work. It even works from my samsung s4 with samsung remote app...

First I'd recommend to reset your TV through the user menu. if it doesn't work then go into the service menu which looks kind of similar and find factory reset. If you changed something in the service menu and you want to reset the service settings to defaults then you have disassemble your TV and hard reset EEPROM by shortening some specific pins on the chip.

@@elmosfire3334 What you're trying to do is impossible for those models. There are some models which allow you to watch photos but doesn't allow to watch videos and in that case you can change the model number in the service menu and it will play videos. Your model doesn't even have physical hardware capabilities to play videos. That USB port is only for the firmware upgrade.

Try to unplug your TV from the wall for a couple of minutes. If it doesn't help then you have a problem, because you can't just reset the service menu through the service menu. What's the exact problem?

My TV has been having problem connecting to external harddisks and USB drives, it wouldn't recognize them. Lately it also couldn't connect to Internet, neither via wifi nor via wire. Since auto-update was on for firmware update, I thought the recent update might have affected it. So, I decided to do a factory reset. Current Issue However, after I have done the factory reset. It restared fine, showed the first intro screen with Samsung Smart TV logo etc, went to Step-1 and got stuck after black screen.

+Nawab Khan Hello! It's difficult to say what exactly happened with your TV. There could be a dead capacitors in power supply unit or problems with firmware. I found a youtube video with a test pattern that when used through an external device seemed to work where instaed of "failure" I got a "success" when I calibrated through HDMI calibration, not 100% sure if it's totally correct though.

U need an original samsung remote. I tryed under an android app on my phone and it doesn't work unless you have a built in IR blaster on your phone... U can still control your TV with the app through wifi but you are unable to enter service menu...

Hi everyone. I could really use your help. I have a Samsung UN55F6300 55" tv. I entered the service - engineering menu to enable bluetooth for my wireless headphones. Options > Engineering Option > BT Audio change from off to on > then MRT option > BT Support change from off to on. The issue is that I accidentily changed something that messed up my HDMI 3 and 4 inputs. Now, when I have a device plugged into HDMI 3 it is greyed out and HDMI 4 is highlighted. If I select HDMI 4 it says no signal. Of course it does, I have the device plugged into HDMI 3. The same thing happens if I plug the device into HDMI 4. It appears that whatever it was that I accidently changed resulted in the HDMI 3 and 4 inputs as being "flipped". I am so frustrated as I can't figure out what to change. I contacted Samsung support and we tried a factory reset as well as other troubleshooting but they didn't know what setting to change back. Can anyone help me with this please.

The V_HDMI IDENT TYPE reads, "2341" and I am thinking that this is the number that got changed. The V_HDMI PATH reads "BDCA", it could have been changed as well.

Great video! Will this work on a UN55F9000? The problem I have is that the original "One Connect" box was lost and the TV has never had it's firmware upgraded to accept the newer "One Connect" boxes. Can you update the firmware via USB on the TV through the service menu? Thanks!
+Jason Wilkerson yes, you can update the firmware of your TV via USB. And there is an option in a regular menu for firmware update you don't need to go to the service menu.

+2013Electronics&Computers Thank you for replying to my question. Maybe I didn't explain my situation clear enough. I currently have NO access to any menus. When I connect the new One Connect box to the F9000 and turn on the TV I only get a picture of a One Connect box and a TV with arrows moving toward each other instructing me to hook up the One Connect. I don not have the original One Connect box either. I only have the new box which I purchased because the old one was lost. Since I cannot get into the regular menu, how can I update the firmware? Anyway try to update firmware of your TV then go Samsung app - Lifestyle section and if you can't see Spotify there then I'm sorry.
It's not a problem to change the region for smart HUB but it doesn't help in this situation.

Try to unplug your TV from the wall for a couple of minutes. If it doesn't help then you have a problem, because you can't just reset the service menu through the service menu. What's the exact problem?

I have two models which I can't seem to reach this menu: 43KU6670 & 40K5600AK . Does anybody know the sequence for these, or another way to reach Hotel Mode?
My TV has been having problem connecting to external harddisks and USB drives, it wouldn't recognize them. Lately it also couldn't connect to Internet, neither via wifi nor via wire. Since auto-update was on for firmware update, I thought the recent update might have affected it. So, I decided to do a factory reset.
Current Issue
However, after I have done the factory reset. It restared fine, showed the first intro screen with Samsung Smart TV logo etc, went to Step-1 and got stuck after black screen.
Worked on Samsung SyncMaster P2470HD!

+Nawab Khan Hello! It's difficult to say what exactly happened with your TV. There could be a dead capacitors in power supply unit or problems with firmware. If the problem with capacitors it's just a few bucks and 20 minutes of your time. This is how it looks :

i went into "ADC "HDMI calibration" and it said "fail" now the screen has a pink tint to it.
unplug TV from outlet for a few seconds and plug back in.
@@ElectronicsComputers Unfortunately that didn't help, i've tried a factory reset and it didn't correct the problem either. I found a youtube video with a test pattern that when used through an external device seemed to work where instaed of "failure" I got a "success" when I calibrated through HDMI calibration, not 100% sure if it's totally correct though.

U can still control your TV with the app through wifi but you are unable to enter service menu...

Hi everyone. I could really use your help. I have a Samsung UN55F6300 55" tv. I entered the service - engineering menu to enable bluetooth for my wireless headphones. Options > Engineering Option > BT Audio change from off to on > then MRT option > BT Support change from off to on. The issue is that I accidentily changed something that messed up my HDMI 3 and 4 inputs. Now, when I have a device plugged into HDMI 3 it is greyed out and HDMI 4 is highlighted. If I select HDMI 4 it says no signal. Of course it does, I have the device plugged into HDMI 3. The same thing happens if I plug the device into HDMI 4. It appears that whatever it was that I accidently changed resulted in the HDMI 3 and 4 inputs as being "flipped". I am so frustrated as I can't figure out what to change. I contacted Samsung support and we tried a factory reset as well as other troubleshooting but they didn't know what setting to change back. Can anyone help me with this please.

@@ElectronicsComputers Thank you so very much!! I am looking at the service menu and I am thinking that the setting for V_HDMI IDENT TYPE or V_HDMI PATH TYPE somehow got changed. The V_HDMI IDENT TYPE reads, "2341" and I am thinking that this is the number that got changed. The V_HDMI PATH reads "BDCA", it could have been changed as well.
