OMG. I had no idea they ever covered "Vernon, FL." It's truly one of my favorite movies! And I love Roger and Gene's coverage.

Vernon, Florida-about a retirement community populated mostly by old people. Who the hell else lives in retirement communities? What next, a zoo inhabited mostly by animals?

So glad that they mentioned the new Oscar category for Best Makeup. Specifically, special makeup effects though I don't think that's what the Oscars calls it. It was amazing to be a 10 year old in 1975 and to witness the advent of new makeup and special effects techniques that only got better and wilder and insanely more graphic and gruesome over the next decades, and to get to see all those amazing films as they premiered in theaters and then during the VCR/VHS boom.

I love The Seduction. Is it Oscar-worthy material? No. Is it entertaining? Yes.

Their take on Missing is a little sketchy. Granted the film has its drawbacks and isn't perfect by a long shot but perhaps due to the constraints of time and hesitant to make any great political statements lest they get thrown off air but they don't go into the American involvement into why he was missing. It's a shame that they just seem to give it short shrift and "hey what's the next popcorn muncher."

is the sweetly seductive morgan fairchild not being ruthlessly hunted by a dementedly deranged sexpot "hunter" andrew stevens? ... not that there is anything wrong with this, when it comes to a nifty little psycho-sexual suspense melodrama from '82...
