But on the other hand, when I was doing my research on this project, I did find some negatives as well. So when we ask the question: Is it Time to Buy TAO? The answer is not as easy as you’d think. Well some of the cons are... not sure how to say this, being worked on currently? Also BitAPAI is back up. They had to reprogram some stuff because the subnett "Revolution" update changed a lot of stuff.
You can stake Tao for about 18% Apr at the moment. Taostats has an easy to use interface.

From my perspective they are actually centralizing AI. The pull diverse models, not owned by those companies you mentioned, and stick them inside their "economic agents". lol they literally centralized it.

So much potential for a 260m mcap. Bittensor will be a top 10 crypto in the next years. Ai narrative for the 2024-2025 bullrun will be the hottest. 🙏

$tao is in my opinion s by far ithe best risk/reward in crypto now . The most exciting project but there is big risks .
Good info/perspective, thanks. I actually think that TAO being Proof of Work is a major plus. All Proof of Stake projects are Proof of Stake for a reason - centralised control and to make founders and VC's a lot of money at someone else's expense. Might be worth buying a small amount as you said. Much easier decision with Bitcoin and Kaspa... Keep DCAing in!

Of course miners dont share what exact (finetuned) models they are using. If they would, they would loose their competitive edge. The network is player vs player, competitive as hell. If like 20 people would use the same model all over again, everyone would just be de-registered. Its an incentive game to outsmart the least smartest miner/model.
Oh and obviously many on twit just shill to pump their bags. Majority of enthusiasts know that it‘s not training yet. That has been a critcism by naval as well. However, people are already working hard on a pretraining subnet

Tao is divisible in the same way bitcoin is so it doesnt need a massive supply.
At the same time you need low cost microtransactions. How is bittensor going to achieve this following the tokonomics of BTC where the tnx costs raise significantly duringpeak timesand what about tx speed?

i just know tao is real project. i invested.
Models will always be competitive, but people will throw them on bittensor cause they can still make money from them. Money that will be used to make even better models hopefully. With the subnet integration the Foundation also incentiviced "black hats" to stop cheating the network and rather make "better" subnets, of which they will make from. So the current way bittensor is doing it, is imo, quite smart

The complexity of their network doesn't make it easy for VCs, ecosystem developers or retail investors. Project is very young and clearly overvalued right now. Most VC dont understand the technology they are investing in and invest purely based on the industry. A.I is a Hot buzz word for that capture VC attention.
