By far the best guitar in the competition. That top is fantastic and an idea and pretty brave cutting such a nice piece of wood up like that. Most of all though, it sounds fantastic! Just watched a entry with a carbon body electro acoustic with interchangeable necks. Amazingly skilled work and looks incredible but it sound dreadful! It’s a guitar competition, they don’t need covering in junk or made with matchsticks or something, they need to sound good, and yours wins hands down.

This turned out Amazing. It is also the best sound demo of all the ones I listened to so far. Right up to 11:45... Rip hearing for headphone users. The staining and the finish are awesome as its like a giant spider web that catches your eye instantly nearly hypnotizing you. The colors are brilliant and really fit well as a whole. Over all one of the top builds I am sure but competition is tight this year already. Cant wait to see what next year brings with so many great builders.

Wow, what an amazing guitar. I love not just the spider web top but how you've added little details like having the back colour bleed into the control cavity cover and the front of the headstock. It's subtle but really ties everything together. The colour scheme is just sensational too. Well done.

@@shockthefox Thank you for putting this up for me to see. I'm on guitar build number 4 and a long way off from making something this nice, but if i can find the right piece of wood i'd like to have a go at this pattern (and a double cutaway single humbucker really shows it off)

Beautiful work! You use some fascinating tools and jigs in this video. What's the jig you are using at the 5:00 mark?
I had to go back and look… 😆. That was just runners on the bottom of my router so that I could get the excess neck tenon cut level to the top - before I glued on the droptop.
