Roads matters, due to the two sections of express way, travel time between delhi and Mumbai has reduced considerably. Gujarat has best national highway stretch so its a breeze until one enters Mumbai. Mumbai - Goa will improve once the upgraded highway opens completely. Untill then it will be a pain, either travel via pune - satara - Kolhapur, or endure the old still in work highway.

Hey Sagar, the suspension does have vertical movement and fair bit of bouncing too. But it's well under normal levels in regard to the class of this vehicle. It's never too unsettling in the second row or third row on normal highway drives in my experience. 🙂
Great video! Very informative and enjoyable to watch. I’m planning to take the same trip in early December. How many km per day do you think is realistic for a first time traveler to India driving solo? Is cell phone and data connectivity consistent on this trip, or will there be interruptions? Will a language barrier be an issue? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hey, network connectivity is good. Never faced any issues with AirTel Sim. I think 500-600km is good enough for a day. For communication basic Hindi will suffice, although English too works. (especially numbers and currency). Basic Hindi will make it much easier. Wishing you best for your trip, have fun and drive safe.🙂
Hey, that trip sounds good. Assuming you'll be taking the NH48 to Mumbai then Ahmedabad and then towards Amritsar. You'll be able to maintain good speeds. Be ready for few bottlenecks on the way to Mumbai, especially till Satara. Nothing major, most of the highways seems in good condition. And where it gets bad, Mahindra's SUV shine. XUV700, you'll be reaching in comfort no doubt. I did see cops stopping over speeding cars once you are reaching Pune. So sticking to speed limits especially near major towns/cities would be the only advice I would give. And I wish you all the best for the journey. Safe drive. 🙂

Can u plz explain about second stretch connecting how many cities
I am sorry, I won't be of much help here as I do not know all the cities connected by this stretch. I can tell you that entire second stretch was in MP. Shamgarh, Jaora and Ratlam were the major names on the boards of the expressway. 🙂
@@mukulslens thanks 👍
Hi bro...nice video, keep it up ..thanks for guidance.
Can you please guide me as i am planning in next month from Delhi to Nashik, so where should i turn, from Vadodara or from Surat or from Mumbai.
Also let me know cities you crossed where roads are pretty good.
I don't think you need to drive all the way to Vadodara, Surat or Mumbai if your destination is Nashik. I haven't driven to Nashik yet so won't be of much help. Sorry 🙂
Any updates on vadodara to jaipur strech on DELHI MUMBAI express way? Has it open for public?
Or should i pick NH48 old highway planning on December end trip
I would recommend sticking to NH48. The expressway isn't of much help as of now. Especially in the year end trip. Sure to attract a lot of traffic. 🙂
@@mukulslens thanks for quick update
I'm in indian army . My transfer at mumbai so pls suggest me how I will go jaipur to mumbai
As always awesome content unique way!
Did you use Zoom mode while driving on Expressway and if yes then did you tried using cruise control?
Hey! Thank you so much. There are no drive modes in 4WD. Since I was driving at night, I did not use cruise control. 🙂
@@mukulslens thank you for information!
Next time don’t trust any map😀
4wd which variant u r driving,manual or automatic?
Best part of the video is when the narrator is quiet and some music is played.
I do select good background music.

Saw quite a few reviews saying its suspension is bouncy or it has vertical movement in 2nd and 3rd row. How is your experience regarding suspension?
Hey Sagar, the suspension does have vertical movement and fair bit of bouncing too. But it's well under normal levels in regard to the class of this vehicle. It's never too unsettling in the second row or third row on normal highway drives in my experience. 🙂
Weldon bro , good information ,excellent explanation bro please let me know out of 1500 km from Mumbai to delhi you got express way approximately
Aporox 450km (230 km + 220 km) . 🙂

sir your TPM indicator indicates low pressure
It's a faulty sensor. In front wheel. Will replace it soon. 🙂
Hi sir. So in hindsight would you still stick to this route if you had to travel to mumbai again OR instead use the nh48 after dausa.
Yes, I don't really mind taking this route again. Bad roads for approx 30km can be ignored due to the fabulous expressway.

Hey mukul, i am planning a similar trip from BLR to Amritsar Via Ahmedabad on my XUV 700. Do you have any suggestions / tips for the road route?
Safe drive. 🙂
What highway you took from Kota onwards & were u exit , Is Delhi mumbai second phase started
NH52 from Kota, exit at Ralayti, near Darshan B.Ed college. Then right on RJ state highway 19A then join MP state highway 31A( Total 30 km, expect roads under construction) Then joing D-M exp second stretch. It's open.🙂
Impossible 😊
How is the headlight throw as it seemed lacking when on those village roads?
It's adequate for daily city use, it does seem a little weak for Indian Highways. 🙂
@@mukulslens thanks!
never trust google maps after 7pm
Sometimes in google maps the option of skipping toll plazas is turned on by default or after updates. This usually backfires while travelling to unknown places
Surat - Mumbai highway conditions is very worst nowadays
Hmm
Sir please show luggage also how you manage in your car while traveling
Hey, for this journey we had folded the third row. 🙂
What is it on 5:06? Like a long tunel. Is it DM expwy?
No, that's on NH after exit of Expressway. 🙂
@@mukulslens was Google map able to helpful in finding the entry point of Expwy at Sohna? You exit the Expwy at Kota and again joined joined the section 2 of Expwy, but traffic is quiet heavy at wee hours near the tiger reserve. But how long was the bad stretch between section 1 exit and entry to section 2?
I observed You finally bid goodbye to Expwy onto MP state highway, at which point was this and how far you had covered till then?
Yes. Initial directions were spot on! Total km if I were to say regarding bad roads between section 1 and 2 would be 30-40km approx. I exit the second stretch somewhere after Munjal, covering almost 850km from Delhi. 🙂
Informative video, could you share the cost of tolls for both stretch's of the express highway apart from the other tolls please ?
Thank you, the toll for first stretch was ₹525/- for approx 240kms and ₹270/- for first half(had to exit in search of fuel station) and ₹215/- for the next half of second stretch. Second stretch was approx 220 kms in total. 🙂
I see your TPMS light was on all the way.... was that genuine or one of Mahindra's faults?
Also, I see you are not switching on hazard lights whenever you have stopped on the expressways. Do make a habit to switch those on when stopped so that you are visible to others on the road. Drive safe, cheers !
It's a gift from Mahindra. TPMS sensor of one wheel is faulty. Hoping to replace it on next service. I'll make sure to remember to switch on hazards. Thank you. 🙂
Which dash cam are you using? Please share the details. Thanks.
Hey Tarun, I use DDPAI mini. It's a basic dashcam I got for this trip. It's decent enough for regular use and is also cost effective. 🙂
@@mukulslens Thanks, Mukul.
Which dash cam do you use or is it a GoPro?
It's a GoPro.🙂
Do yo drive manual or automatic Scorpio N ?
It's a manual ScorpioN 🙂
3:16 did he just said “toal” 😂
I hav said a lot of other things. Hope you've listened to that as well. There's a lot of it you didn't know about. 🙂
@@mukulslens bro it’s just for fun! If you didn’t like it, I’m sorry. By the way, really good video!
Relax! I cannot get offended, I chose a public platform. Everyone gets a heart from me, good comments or bad. Glad you've enjoyed the content. 🙂
Keep your vehicle on the main highway only. Dont try to explore new routes, especially when it's dark.
