  • Delhi to Mumbai is going to get closer, thanks to the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, well as of now only two stretches of approx 240km have been open for public use, lets see if we can get from Delhi to Mumbai in 24 hours before the completion of this expressway. Because, after that it will be a piece of cake, just 12 hours.

    Thanks man for your short crispy video. Your video was a great help took same route but I started in morning 3.30 so that I covered whole e-way and state highway in daylight.
    You didn’t took wrong route though which looked like dead end there was left turn ( even after being cautious about it ) took same route but I was in day so villagers told me take left and i reach to state highway just after 5mins drive.
    Total tolls and fuel expenses are perfectly calculated.

      Roads matters, due to the two sections of express way, travel time between delhi and Mumbai has reduced considerably. Gujarat has best national highway stretch so its a breeze until one enters Mumbai.
      Mumbai - Goa will improve once the upgraded highway opens completely. Untill then it will be a pain, either travel via pune - satara - Kolhapur, or endure the old still in work highway.

This was exactly the topic i have been searching for since the last few days as i am planning a road trip to delhi from mumbai and was highly confused on whether to take this route or the alternative route through mp/ gujrat. After watching your video atleast i have been able to rule out this expressway route and now left to decide from anongst the other two routes. Unless this expressway is completed and opened end to end, it will be useless for delhi-mumbai commuters. Anyways, thanks again.

    Taking cues from this video, I embarked on my epic Delhi to Gujarat adventure, and boy, was it a rollercoaster of surprises! The intel on choke points and the elusive fuel pumps on the NE4's second stretch was like striking gold.
    Hey fellow viewers, as of November 20, 2023, I can confirm that all the tips here are still as fresh as ever. Now, let me sprinkle in some extra bits of wisdom:
    Fuel strategy, people! Start with a full tank, sprinkle in a bit more at the Haryana border, and don't forget to give your vehicle a sip before hitting that second stretch in Rajasthan. It's like keeping your ride on a happy juice diet!
    Oh, and about those cattle crossings - the video touched on it, but let me magnify the spotlight on the RJ stretch. Cows there have a Ph.D. in surprise appearances. Don't be fooled by the serene RJ roads; stay on your toes!
    For all you NE4 explorers, when the road starts sculpting the landscape, keep your eyes peeled for unexpected souvenirs like loose rocks. I stumbled upon some as big as musk melons - not the kind of roadside attraction you want for your tires. Drive cautiously, my friends.
    And a special shout-out to the speed demons on NE4 - those lane-hating daredevils with a death wish. They're like rare Pokemon in RJ; you'll find them when you least expect it. Stay safe, drive sane, and let the road trip continue!

      Automotive companies do a lot of R&D for these things. Sometimes its still not enough. That's why we can upgrade our bulbs to different company make, this typically solves the light issue. • @prasannask8320
    @prasannask8320 6 месяцев назад

    it is not practical to have streetlight all the way but it is possible to have low quality solar lights along the route, they produce just enough light to show the road ahead for the drivers. they dont need much maintainance, just a quick water cleaning to clear the solar panel once in a while.
    another is, there should be barriers in the middle which will block the headlights of the cars coming in opposite direction. i have seen such barriers which are not continous but are placed in such a way that they entirely block the headlights of the opposite side.
    nowadays,lanes are separated but with curves (esp in mumbai pune expressway) the lights from opposite side can be quite blinding.

    Hey mukul, i am planning a similar trip from BLR to Amritsar Via Ahmedabad on my XUV 700. Do you have any suggestions / tips for the road route?

    • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  8 месяцев назад

      Hey, that trip sounds good. Assuming you'll be taking the NH48 to Mumbai then Ahmedabad and then towards Amritsar. You'll be able to maintain good speeds. Be ready for few bottlenecks on the way to Mumbai, especially till Satara. Nothing major, most of the highways seems in good condition. And where it gets bad, Mahindra's SUV shine. XUV700, you'll be reaching in comfort no doubt. I did see cops stopping over speeding cars once you are reaching Pune. So sticking to speed limits especially near major towns/cities would be the only advice I would give. And I wish you all the best for the journey. Safe drive. 🙂

    Hi , please reply. Need ur suggestions.
    In my Scorpio N Z8 L petrol AT , when I change gear from P to D or P to D or R to D, there is a big noise from the car . Checked it with my friends AT Diesel too, it’s the same. He said it’s normal for a car with Rwd to hv this. But I don’t think it shud be having this big of a noise. I can hear this sound as I go reverse when I release the brake slowly as I reverse the car. And also, the sound is heard only when changing from P to D or R to D after a long halt ( ie, morning when I start my car from home to office after 10 hour parking in my garage). By evening the sound vanishes away… and comes back after a long halt, I.e parking overnight . kindly reply , do u also hv this with ur car. Is this normal.? • @mukulslens
      @mukulslens  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Aniroodh, one thing I know is when the gear engages, I.e going from P-D after long halt, a small sound is acceptable. The drive Shaft gear hub gets engagement(RWD car) with the gear box. Happens in my car when I switch from 2WD to 4WD as well. So it may be something similar. So a small engagement of mechanical parts is not of worry. It takes a lot of effort to make cars quiet and it can effect pricing as well. However, if you feel a jerk when that happens or the sound is very loud and rough, it's a cause of concern and must be rectified. I suggest comparing sounds with other ScorpioN AT when you visit the Service centre, preferably the once parked for long. These views and opinion are my personal and I may be wrong. 🙂
