- Here’s how I replaced the old thermal paste in my MacBook Pro. It’s honestly really and and brought my CPU temps back to a reasonable level. If you have an older Mac with some thermal problems, definitely consider doing this.
Here is the video for how I replaced my battery: • Battery Replacement - ...

DO NOT attempt this unless you really know what you’re doing and/or are willing to break your computer.
Thank you for this! Please don't worry about the unrecorded part, I appreciate your efforts!!
Thank you!
I put all your effort to deliver good message to us, thumbs-up to you still. Cheers !!!
Haha, thanks Tom!
I called a local repair shop for a quote and they charge $238.00 just for the battery replacement. I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and give it a go. Wish me luck!
I like your honesty.
@Mark Guy - Thank you!
Mine also has heat issues, but I don't feel confident enough doing that's and honest, y I can't trust anyone do it for me 😅
BTW thank you for your efforts and don't worry about the missing part
Never understood why dont they put a cold temp thermocouple on top of CPU to cool it down rather than a metal bar?
Thanks for taking the time with this, its appreciated. Did you find that the GPU issues were rectified from updating the thermal paste?
@JN Nicholls - The temps went down by a few degrees so I definitely think it’s worth it.
@@Casey_Schmidt I completely agree, I received my paste this morning and carried out the task this evening as per your direction. So far so good, no crashing and its all behaving as it should. I believe my GPU (or CPU) was overheating due to dry paste, no kernel panic (darent say yet) which is a real plus, as Ive been at my wits end with it. Thanks again Casey!
@@technotrancesessions - I’m glad to hear the improvement!
@@Casey_Schmidt yes, the cpu is grand, low temp, low fan speed. Sadly I spoke too soon re the GPU, thats still failing after a day of perfect function. There's a place over here that does a hardware bypass, a new chip to ensure the nvidia card doesnt ever come into play, so its just the on board, I think thats my only option now.
did it make a difference on the temps?
Yes but only a small one.
Can I use Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning?
I don’t see why not so long as you don’t get the circuit board wet. Use as little as possible.
do it again....
fire your camera man!
Take this video down and do it over correctly.
