I approve of spot welded packs (vs soldering them), gotta turn up the juice on your welder (pulse time), because if you can pull the weld off, it's not good enough. The Pros at UpgradeEnergy that make my Stay High Field Charging Pack are using Copper Bars instead of Nickel Strips....can't do those with a spot welder though...they have a robot with a lazer doing all the welds (and warranty the packs in the USA)
It's better to increase receiver sensitivity than it is to increase TX power. Try diffrent antennas with higher a Dbi to see if desired range is acheived. Just FYI to anybody who doesnt understand what dBi stands for when seen on a antenna. If a antenna has a gain of "0" dBi, this means the signal propergates equally everywhere like a donut if you were standing where the donut hole would be. The higher the dBi increases, the more focalized its effective operational threshold is. So if you look at a yagi antenna that has 10 turns around the helicol emmiter part, every time that wire does a comeplete wrap around increases its effective range while decreasing its X and Y envelope making it better for further range. DBi is the antennas ability to listen for signal or if on the Tx side, its abilty to transmit or "yell" in a particular area. Dbi is antenna directional power, and Dbm is absolute power like 10mw 100mw 250mw and so on..... Hope this helps someone 👍🏻.
We have several guys at the local RC Plane field, that have the 100mph waiver for their large jets...I'm guessing recreationally, but there are at least 3 of them I know with it.
I built some 21700 packs and was told to double up on nickel strips. I just used one and sometimes feel it is not as efficient when using higher power to gain altitude and fight the wind. I do get 8000mAh though. I will solder one up with copper plates and compare in spring.
About the impending Tariffs, its my understanding that small value shipments from China are except from all tariffs. This is why you see the popularity of stores that drop ship from China. AliExpress, Shein, etc. I've not heard any discussion of this loophole being closed. Which probably means that buying from stores like GetFPV will increase in price since they need to buy in bulk from China and pay any tariffs that are in effect. But stores like AliExpress and Banggood are probably immune. But who really knows what the future holds I guess.
The walksnail 1s VTX isnr fragile. I have 9 of them in various micros and not one of them has had issues.. have burnt an 03.. they are not as tough as the vista was. And the WS 1s vtx doesn't have durability issues. Maybe when they first came out. But those days are over. Maybe we should re visit that?

Closing the "Temu loophole"? fortune.com/asia/2024/09/16/china-shein-temu-bad-news-washington-cracks-down-ecommerce-loophole/
Mads said it best in regard to race mode on DJI 04. Do you really want to race around with a 200 plus dollar air unit🤔🤔
Yes
Maybe, but i definitely wanna do fast freestlye with the o4 and with the lowest latency possible.
