Hi, great shots! May I check what your exact settings are for night shots?

      Hi! Thanks for commenting.
My setting for night shots are below.
Aperture priority mode - set slowest shutter speed to 1/200. This time all my shots are f1.8.
Auto Iso - set Iso range to 100-6400
WB - I usually set it at the beginning when I arrive at the location. Or you can just set it to auto and adjust later. For me I prefer seeing accurate whites straight out of camera.
Metering - I mainly use matrix metering. Depending on the light situation you need to adjust EV value.
EV - I set it to 0 but if there are bright lights in the background and I want to brighten the face, I bump it up to +1. (If you are shooting raw you can just set it to 0 and bring back the shadows later when editing)
Picture control - I set it to Standard but not a big deal because im gonna use my presets when editing to get the color I want anyway.
And that’s it! Hope this helps!

Are you going to use the Nikon 85mm F1.8 Z Mount lens on your Nikon Z50

Can this type of 50mm on an APS-C like the z50 shoot closeup shots? like does it focus on subjects that are totally near to you?

This 50mm lens focuses close enough if you are photographing people. The max frame you can get is the eyes and nose in frame and still in focus. But for small objects, this is the wrong lens. Nikon also makes a 50mm macro for z lens if you really need to magnify small objects and i heard its almost as sharp as this lens. Hope this helps!

Great video, which one should I consider, SIGMA 56 1.4 or Z50 1.8? I’m confused.

If budget is your concern then you cant go wrong with the Sigma especially for portrait photos.
otherwise, I would always choose sa Nikon 50 1.8.
my reason to choose the Nikon 50mm are below.
      1. Compatible with full frame when you are ready to step up.
      2. 1.8 is enough for me(as you can see in the photos)
      3. 50mm is tight on an APSC camera and 56 would be much tighter.
Hope this helps on your decision!

@@Lenstrovert Thank you! In my country, the prices of the two lenses are about the same. I also think the material of Z50 1.8 is better, and the video does not look bad.
It seems that it would be better to choose Z50 1.8. Another advantage is that it will be easier to trade in the future.
