This is the only strings library that always makes me jawdroping. I start to using it with my upcoming symphonic metal album and this strings are sit and blended perfectly in the mix really really well along with balls-to-the-wall heavy metal guitars, thunderous bass and drums. No brainer programming too. Nice job CS!
Alex, you always bring us inspiration. Your are not just doing a library but also doing music and technology to tell us more about how to make music. Thanks for all your videos demo. I always learn so much. Looking forward to the update.
Thanks Alex - wish there were more vids like this. I always learn so much, and including the midi files is very helpful too. Fast/short runs/ostinato type music is not one of my strengths so this really helps.
In Cubase there is a function called "Auto Quantize". You can play whatever you want with that option selected and the program will Auto Quantize the notes, for example, at an 1/8. :) Of course the notes you play have to be nearby those 1/8 I don't know if in other software there is the Auto Q function
Can cinematic strings be useful for more aggressive/sustained string melodies that don't necessarily use staccato? All I've heard done with this library is either really lush and beautiful legato or runs/staccato
Could you maybe upload your song Collider, i really enjoy it, maybe you can upload it as free or to itunes or somewhere ? I'd really like to get your full song :)
On cubase when you open your piano roll, in up, next to "Feed back accoustic" you have a button called "Show info line" or somethings. Then, you just have to select your notes, put your mouse on "velocity" and use your roll :D Sorry for this bad explication :/
I guess he was playing while recording the video and did not include the sound of his play. So we have the movie of notes automatically appearing on the screen :)
I was wondering the same thing. I'm new to this library and I don't achieve that big sound yet. Also. I'm trying to figure out how to play "fast legato notes" but I cannot find a way
The tutorial MIDI file can be downloaded here: tinyurl.com/yaswk89l The MIDI file for the demo piece: "Collider" can be downloaded here: tinyurl.com/y7jr4vua
I've just posted a piece using Cinematic Strings 2 library. I have used the legato, short staccato & pizzicato articulations. Would love to hear some feedback as this is the first piece I've completed using the library. You can hear it on my website here - jjvernon.com

This makes all other string libs to sound like toys. Awesome.
Absolutely georgeous! I already love that library... now even more! Thx for this!

I need it! the realism of fast passages...clearly better than my blockbuster patch on Symphobia!
Amazing video!
Very exciting news too, the Higgs-like Boson. Awesome piece of music!
Beautiful music towards the end. :) Loved the vid.
Is there any plan to create more tutorial videos for CS2? These are incredibly helpful for beginning composers. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant piece there at the end. Inspiring brother! Inspiring.
No probs, glad you liked it :). Full ensemble patch will be included in the version 2.1 update, coming soon!
Awesome , Just buy it.
I have a lot of library, this one is the best and it is the less expensive !
Thanks a lot.
Wow!!!!!!!!! very very nice, thank you for the midi files. Now I can learn something how to do that.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Great video, Alex! Thanks a lot!
Thanks so much Alex! Any chance you can re-link the MIDI files for this?
Awesome work!
Dammit, love how the runs sound with this library. Half the reason I bought it.
Unbelievable, you are fantastic.
What a man you are hats off to you

Incredible.
3:36 Where can I hear the full version of this song?
I would really love to
That was beautiful. :,)
Great tutorial. The MIDI link has failed. Can you send it again thx~
3:35 Anyone know what kontakt library/VST the brass is here? Unless it's actually recorded (for some weird reason.)
SafetyTipActivist im wondering too. so natural
I just found out that it was actually recorded.
Could be a personal library. A lot of these people record their own libraries for their own music but don’t sell the libraries.
What is that piece by Jasper Blunk??
This is Amazing!!!

Génial!
Could you maybe upload your song Collider, i really enjoy it, maybe you can upload it as free or to itunes or somewhere ? I'd really like to get your full song :)
Yes, just send them a message on the student page. You should see it on the website :)
How do you reduce the velocity of all selected midi notes at once like you did in 3:30?
Thanks for this
Are you considering adding divisi or solo patches in future updates, or would those be part of entirely new products?
How did you make the brasses sound so organic using a midi?
You are amazing
It's just in length 400 seconds long
but shares a lot of inspiration to move on
I would love to buy this. Are there any academic pricing? I am a student..

The sweet sweet love I'm going to make to this library when I get it....
Which reverb do you use in this video?? Its not the stock reverb.
I guess he was playing while recording the video and did not include the sound of his play. So we have the movie of notes automatically appearing on the screen :)
Sorry so late to the game here. But did you add reverb to this? Sounds a bit wet.
I was wondering the same thing. I'm new to this library and I don't achieve that big sound yet. Also. I'm trying to figure out how to play "fast legato notes" but I cannot find a way

+gershom urizar ctrl + a then alt + drag
Simply Ctrl+c ; ctrl+v
Too equal intervals between appearing of the movie on the screen...
How about just forgetting about the "morse code" and actuallly PLAY your shit in?
It works for John Williams!
It's a tutorial, for beginners...
JW plays absolutely nothing in.
I'm stupid Russian and I cant to understand - how it happened automatically 0.54-1.14?
