But surprisingly, the thieves have returned the idol to the Temple each time. Mridanga Saileswari Temple in Kannur, Kerala is one of the 108 Durga Maa temples built by Lord Parashurama; this Temple gained the national spotlight when Alexander Jacob, a retired DGP of Kerala Police, shared his remarkable investigation experiences. On multiple occasions, thieves tried to steal the idol but could not take it more than a few kilometres from the Temple each time. During the first attempt, the thieves admitted feeling disoriented and experienced an uncontrollable urge to urinate and defecate, leading them to abandon the idol. In a second attempt, the idol was found discarded on the roadside, along with a note asking for its return to the Temple. In the third incident, the thieves couldn’t make it far and left the idol in a lodge. Surprisingly, they even conducted a puja with flowers for the deity in their lodge room. Devotees claim they can strongly feel the presence of Goddess Durga’s power at the Temple. It seems the robbers have felt this power, too but in a different way. Jai Ma Durga! #goddessdurga

Kerala has very famous ancient temples like the very ancient Shiv temple called Vadakkumnathan in Trichur district of Kerala. It is said that parents of Adi Sankaracharya prayed in Vadakkumnathan temple and then Sankaracharya was born to them. In fact the main city of Trichur is built around this temple and Thrissur Pooram is very famous is held in this temple annually. Incidentally Vadakkumnathan means Lord of the North as Lord Shiva was from Himalayas. Also some connection is there between Thrissur Pooram and the closing of Vishwanath temple in Kashi as its said that Kashi Vishwanathji is visiting Thrissur Pooram on that day.
Similarly the very famous Padmanabhaswamy temple at Thirvanthaouram dedicated to Lord Vishnu is also very ancient and powerful temple.
Guruvayur temple dedicated to Sri Krishna is also in Trichur district of Kerala. It is believed that the stone idol at Guruvayur is the same idol from Dwarkadhish temple in Dwaraka before it submerged in sea. That idol was again consecrated by Guru and Vayu and that is why its name became Guruvayoor.
The very famous and ancient Shiv temple at Vaikom in Kottayam district of Kerala known as Vaikom Mahadeva temple.
Also in Kottayam is the famous Ettumanoor Shiva temple. Its is said that if a devotee visits Ettumanoor, Vaikom and another Shiva temple called Kaduthurthi Shiv temple also in Kottayam, all three in single day then all the desires of the devotee are fulfilled.
The very famous Srikrishna temple at Alapuzha called Ambalapuzha Srikrishna temple.. The kheer of this temple given as prasadam is very famous.
