That particular animation isnt so bad, the move he's using is a long wind up that you dodge (Unless you're Ongbal and just decide to fucking deflect that nooooo thank you)so him taking the sword out again so quickly gives you loads of time The more concerning bait is the fact that if you get close to him when he's charging that Ashina Cross, he will instead bash you with the pommel and then transition into a sweep that you can't react to if you dont deflect the pommel strike
I've experimented with the new "Sakura Dance" and I gotta say: 1. Cost effective (Uses only 1 spirit emblem) 2. Fast and hard to punish 3. Switches to areal assault on the third part of the combo (can be used as means to counter sweep attacks. 4. Allows immediate use use of prostetic tools which opens up a whole new creative follow up combos or counters. 5. Can f*ckn counter lightning attacks! 6. Looks dope af 7. Stuns opponents 8. With spirit emblem usage does both vitality and posture damage 9. With buffs such as bestowal, confetti and offensive sugars, boosts damage effectiveness significantly If I missed anything, do let me know. I am still experimenting with it. #SakuraDanceForPresident

All in all, not really good for its cost, but it looks pretty cool and it is quite useful in some specific situations. Anyways I'd stick with the immortal blade strike.
@@sashavinogradov9082 imo Mortal Draw would be viable if it didn't eat through spirit emblems too quickly. Even with the full two-slash combo dealing massive damage, it still eats 6 spirit emblems (which could be used in quite a variety of ways than through one combat art).
its better to jump on enemies because it deals more posture damage, but you have to try this against the guardian ape, he spams a lot that grab attack and you really dont do posture damage to him so you can punish him very hard with this skill

This boss already has so much character and is one of the best final boss fights I've ever experienced, and yet you managed to make it even more interesting!
Just now am able to play like this after years of on and off playing. Realistically could've achieved the same result if I non stop played for a few months. Definitely not achievable in just a week or two, unless you've already been playing a bunch.

For like my first 8 attempts of Inner Isshin, I thought for sure that the Perilous Attack he starts that three hit combo with was a thrust. Once I found out it was a sweep, I was able to consistently counter it the way shown in this video. Went on to beat him on my tenth try.
That entire combo is why I'm here. I've spent a while getting fucked over by the fact that every opponent in this gauntlet has a slight delay on their attacks (I fucking hate delayed attacks, the timing fucks me really badly) And finally got to Isshin, got clapped as I expected, left the gauntlet, went to Reflection and fought him, got past his first stage and was like "Okay, what new moves do you have for-why the fuck am I dead?" I genuinely missed the combo cuz I looked down to see how many heals and emblems I had left and he slaughtered me. Restarted it, got to the second stage, saw him start the attack, murder me and just sat and went "That is not okay, I need an adult"

The funny thing is is that if you use one mind on him and then immediately pressing r1 while isshin has given up after the fight he will actually say ”well done, sekiro….” Before actually slicing his neck with the mortal blade. Sekiro will also say farewell earlier than he is supposed to.

If you're talking about that huge slash in the air, the best thing to do is deflect it. I haven't tried sidestepping it but it is deflectable (either umbrella or regular deflect would do)
Epic combo against old Isshin : Mikiri +okinaga flamme / sword in fire + Sakura dance + fire axe That was the first time I succeded to burn Isshin Or Sakura dance + divine confetti + sabimaru is wonderful
He knows because he listens for the deathblow sound. I do the same while playing no hud, and you can even predict when the bosses are gonna break posture if you fight them enough
