This was legit the song that made me really go "wait, video game music is actually good?" as a kid, back in the early 90s, when I was still learning how to play drums and guitar. Whoever wrote the MM2 OST is a fucking mad lad, and they deserve nothing but praise. That game has the best music of any game I've ever encountered.

I dig your take on this old family favorite. I think a proggy/metal take on some of the shorter MM tunes (like the stage selects, or the password song, for example) as a medley would be an awesome thing that you guys would really excel at doing.
Upon my second listen, I have one small mix suggestion (take it, or leave it, I still think your recording is great): the counter-melodic guitar in the right channel is a little quiet in the first half of the song to me. I think it would really help to make that part pop a little more to raise it a few decibels. Take it, or leave it, I still think everything is great.
