I feed them micro granules and dried blood worms regularly. I've fed them occasionally on things like scraps of mussels and salmon. And occasionally I feed them live gammarus and daphnia. They also eat algae in the tank.
I used a long-handled net - the kind you get at little shops selling souvenirs. If you hold the net in the path of the school, they basically swim into it.

what temp is the tank
It's 12 Celsius. I sometimes let the temperature go down to lower than that in the Winter.
