Yes. Before this video I watched one showing Vladimir Putin telling that Russia's "noble aims" will be reached in Ukraine. What a depressing man (rather a monster). Compare him to the manager of the garden on this video. One destroys and kills, the other creates and helps. Putin isn't worthy to touch the gardener's shadow.
There's nothing positive here if you know how things work. They don't let anyone inside the favelas. If you enter it, it is because the crime lords were payed for it. Basically this video is a perpetuation of misery in levels you cannot comprehend. Even Ukrainians have more then them. Did you know tourists actually pay for guided tours to favelas? The crime goes up in the political tree, Poo-tin samba style, if you will.
@@RAY-THE-WAY There are lots of these in America. particularly abandoned lots in old industrial cities like Detroit that became community gardens after the real estate collapse in 2008. How friendly a city is going to be to the idea is going to depend on the city, of course, but state and federal government has pretty much nothing to do with it.
Just think how much food there would be and how easily available to all communities that did this. Great work, amazing knowledge and you stay physically and mentally healthy.
I hope love and like this lifestyle ngl, some people consider it girly but once experienced and lived in the heat of it, it can be heartwarming for humans and beneficial for the plants growth
Quite funny this is now the second time I have been writing a policy agenda at university and DW has happened to make a video on one of my ideas just a few days after.
Such a great idea. They should definitely allocate space and replicate this around the other favelas/communities as soon as possible. Also think about planting fruit trees as well. Fruit trees can even grow from seeds, thus infinite food. So many amazing fruits in Brazil, Mango Palmer, Acai, huge avocados and passionfruits etc.
Nice but the beds don't need to be so deep. For most food crops 6" is deep enough. The Square Foot Garden method is best, I found, growing vegetables over 6 years in Ontario.
God bless all positive, instruction, humanity service efforts 👌 in the planet ..including this group of farmers...this job in addition of economic interests for workers, its purification of gas pollutants..it's a great thing some have useful identity 👍🏻
Amazing model of global citizenship- we all deserve nourishment, on all levels of living. Now phase 2- bring the medicinal heritage herbs into your garden. Those who’s spirit is spoken to about the healing of herbal preparations will come to you. 🌟 shine on and light the way!
"Senhor mora na favela?" "Sim, moro." "Tem jardim dentro?" "Sim, toda comunidade está ajudando." "Plantação do que?" "Puxa, é favela meu... Plantamos maconha aqui"
Gardening soothes the soul
Thanks you DW. It felt good to see something positive in these horrible times.

This is so wonderful every nation should be doing this. ❤️
Government in America would shut that down real quick

@@loganwolfram4216 yes that's right I live in canada but heard about Detroit making an urban garden, it changes the whole face of a community.

This is what the world should be like
a very beautiful and important project
what a great project. very nice.
Food are getting really expensive here in Brazil. Our government printed money as hard as other countries. We're facing the problem now...
Great idea for all poor neighborhoods around the world.
Now India ,Philippines and Nigeria need to follow these exemplary Brazilian footsteps and green their massive slums.

Such a beautiful thing, especially w/high food costs. ✝️👍🏻
No occupation is so delightful to me
As the culture of the earth.
I am devoted to the garden.

They destroyed the Amazon and this will bring it back!? Good for them...the cities are where the amazon use to be!
Rio de Janeiro is thousands of miles away from the Amazon
very nice other than the gender segregation lol. anyone should be able to do whatever job they want
I had a job with segregation like that, I couldn't stand it and left soon after.
