Animate a Spooky Scene! Halloween 2D Animation Challenge

CG Spectrum students celebrated their first school-wide Halloween event with a special 2D Animation challenge! Animation mentors Scott Claus, Sykosan, and Hubert Lapointe judged the challenge and offered excellent advice for anyone wanting to improve their craft. Check out the spooky 2D animations and pick up some top tips.
Students had one month to complete this special challenge: using an animation layout (character placement and background) with the first frame and the last frames provided, they were tasked with animating a sequence and colouring the character, with no limit on duration.
There were two categories for submission: one for rough animation and one for clean animation, with emphasis on acting, movement and personality. Winners were Rebecca Caldwell (for clean animation) and Hannah Fung (for rough animation), and we loved seeing all submissions!
