My subwoofer just stopped working on my 2018 A5 sportback. Shop told me the speaker needs replaced. For $118 I get the complete enclosure with new speaker. I hope this is the problem. I have the B and O factory OEM setup. Thanks for this video, I will install myself.

i am waiting to pick up a 2024 s5 next week and bought the car for the stereo, now hearing that the stereo is not up to the B&O name. i just bought a B&O system and heard that audi had a B&O system i went out and ordered a s5. if you can give me all the updated speakers for centre and doors and sub, i would like the name of the speakers and part numbers . thank you
That depends on the impedance of the woofer you buy. As long as the amplifier sees the same impedance as the factory woofer, it will perform the same with the Kicker as it does with the B&O, without damaging the amplifier.
@@shadetreemech9962 I swapped out my b&o sub on the Q5 with a cerwin vega tire passive sub. 4ohm DVC. The B&O is 8 ohm DVC. It actually sounded worse, barely any base.
@@DanielGuzman838 ohm DVC ?? 🤨I have never heard of such speaker. 8 ohm single SVC 👌🏾… Also if u purchased DVC 4ohm why wouldn’t you wire it to make it compatible with the factory amp if it is set up for 8 ohm load?? That might help your sound that your complaint was about.

Mindful of the fact that's the 2ohm version
A quick way to fry your B&O system. The stock amp cannot push this sub and you will get clipping at mid to high volume.

I done this upgrade fee months ago and your correct alot of clipping when volume is near midpoint. Luckily hasn't fried the amp
It's been working fine for me. Not a big difference, but noticeable. If you want a lot of bass, this is not the way to go.

6 inch or 6.75 inch kicker?
6.75 - you do need to remove the plastic decorative trim ring to get it to sit in the opening properly, but once that’s done, it fits right in.
Yes, and it was quite nasty as the glue was strong. I ended up breaking the ring into smaller pieces.
2 or 4 ohm?
