Fun fact Flight and whoever else cares to read this, and just one of the many reasons Darvin Ham was fired by the Lakers: What the world didn’t know at the time, was Darvin Ham would say “It’s Just Basketball” after every loss during the whole Lakers vs Nuggets series to try to encourage the Lakers to take the losses less harsh after every game in the locker room. LeBron would never have that type of mentality/attitude during a playoff series ever in his career, especially not during a series matchup first round against the defending champions the Denver Nuggets.
The actual real reason LeBron said the “It’s Just Basketball” statement in the press conference after game 3 while AD sat there next to him mad af salty is because he was mocking what Darvin Ham was saying to them in the locker room. This is actual indeed a fact, Darvin actually has been telling that exact same statement to the Lakers team all season long after they took a loss; in the locker room and even in previous press conferences during the season. Don’t believe me look it up yourself, real Laker fans know if you kept up with the team this whole season.

Go back and watch old press conferences, that statement has been said by him to reporters before and if he’s telling reporters this then he obviously is telling the same to his team. Also I’m not saying Darvin Ham deserved to be fired, yea there was a lot of stuff I didn’t like he did as our coach but it also falls on the organization, the players attitudes, and last but not least their performances as well. I actually don’t think he was a horrible coach, I think the Lakers should’ve gave him one last year to see what would’ve happened. I understand why they fired him tho.
For a new coach tryna get his career going as a head coach, his first 2yrs weren’t terrible. The Lakers got to the conference finals and made the playoffs still as a 7th seed going against the exact same team they faced the year before. You just gotta do your research, he’s even said it during games when they took a timeout. When he finally knows how to call one that is😂. One thing I definitely didn’t like that he did as the Lakers Head Coach was forget how to coach. He did that alot during this whole pass season and during the playoffs. You seen the videos of him flat out not knowing what plays to call for the team, erasing plays and running out of time to make a play before the timeouts were up.
