A hardworking single mom who worked three jobs to save money told her children they were all spending the night in an AirBnB - before revealing it was actually their new family home. Kimaada Ellison's kids had no idea the surprise was coming when they entered the home, initially taking a look around the large family property in awe. Then, suddenly, mom Kimaada, 44, asks her children - Rene 25, Kahalia 21, Kiari 18, Kanani 13, and Kimora, aged six, - "What if I told you this was your house?" As everything begins to click, the kids light up with joy, screaming in complete shock. The moment marked the end of a long journey for Kimaada, from Missouri, who had been living in a two-bedroom unit to save money, after she said her children's father left the family unexpectedly. It was tough, Kimaada, a teacher of 24 years, said, initially having to admit to her kids she could not fully support them on a single salary. So, she took on two extra jobs - braiding hair and working in an Amazon warehouse - and put her studies on hold, as she couldn’t afford tuition she hopes will one day allow her to become a principal. Kimaada worked the three jobs, eventually earning enough for the new property, which she wanted to show her kids through a big surprise.

She has a full time job as a teacher, her job should be able to provide for her so she doesn't have to work 20 hour days 5 days a week missing time with her kids. What this shows is the system is broken.

The way those kids were excited for their mom is soooo priceless. I did the same with my kids two Mothers Days ago. I had been secretly decorating it and getting it together for them. I was a home mom divorced and started from the bottom. My kids in my parents basement on air mattresses for a year and a half. Left abuser during pandemic. Cried out to God to cover me and the 3 kids. He answered and although I wanted to be in a community so an apartment first it is our place of peace. I’ll be moving to own once they are totally out of school or if home is in same area. With God all things are possible and hard work and favor yields amazing results. Congrats to this beautiful woman and the kids. 🙏❤️

@@lisalafayette I would imagine she bought a house that she could afford the payment on the income of one job with maybe a side hustle here and there when needed. Hopefully, she will be able to rest for a min and enjoy time in her home with her babies.

I grew up in an orphanage and started saving 1 penny a week from age 7 so I could buy my own house and leave the orphanage. I bought my first house for me and my daughter at 26. Like you, I worked hard, saved hard and I did get there. 🎉🎉🎉
