    As a merchant mariner I am not even on land 6 months out of the year , what should I do in this case.

    Great info--thanks. Can the home that you are moving from be considered your 2nd home instead of a rental property as long as you have established residency in Florida and are meeting all other requirements? Just curious as we may not want to rent.
