One of the most completely beautiful pieces ever composed for the classical guitar. Marcin Dylla, plays the piece like the composer wrote it for him. An inspirational performance by Mr Dylla that is world class!
@@benjaws its not wrong if someone is looking for perfection. I know what you mean but that doesn't mean that you can just despise someone appreciating an insane performance Marcin's rendition is the best i have seen.
I love Marcin Dylla! He plays with such intensity, yet always musical and never sloppy. His faces are priceless and a lot of fun to watch. He is a true master.
Yeah, Mr. Dylla plays this piece extraordinarily well. It really DOES sound like an orchestra with the amount of painstaking attention to phrasing and musicality that he so lovingly adores his music with.
I need to put your comment in the context of what was your frame of mind 10 years ago and compare it with what you believe are the facts on the ground today.
it's a good thing Dylla wasn't around at the same time as Rodrigo or he would have had to make his pieces even harder also, that passacaille...good GOD. that was the best version I have ever heard
Wow!.. This is really one of the Best!!.. Beautiful piece played by extraordinary artist!!.. If Rodrigo is still alive, he must have been very pleased listening to this ... Bravo Marcyn!!.. :D
Everyone is praising Mr. Dylla, and rightfully so, he is truly a tremendous guitarist. But am I really the only one that think this could be a lot better? Everything is so perfect, that it to me sounds too perfect. Every movement and preparation with the fingers and his body that he does, I can hear it. This is why I have the very unpopular opinion, that I don't prefer listening to him a lot of the times. Sometimes, everything is so perfect that I feel like he is playing the guitar, not music, if that makes sense. I want to be lost in the music. Here I just hear all the technical perfections that are done on the guitar. A guitarist playing the guitar. Sure, the music is there too, to most people probably. But to me, I am not lost in the music. I am just watching this because it is amazingly skilled. I am not getting anything else out of it. The favorite guitarist of mine, is Yamandu Costa. The one guitarist that I think makes the most mistakes, but boy most of the times I forget I am even listening to a guitar as an instrument. The music should fly away from the guitar, into the ear and mind of the listener. It is not always just about preparations and 10/10 technique. I feel like this man has even calculated when to breathe in the piece, and I can both hear and feel it. I just want the music. The technique should be a thing of its own, hidden, delivering the music to you. Technique and musicality need to have a give and take relationship. We want to focus on the artpiece, not how the artist painted it. I hope this makes sense.
Then you have a different ear. You like seeing and hearing mistakes, because its natural, adds more to the feeling etc. This is not a song for you. This is one that demands perfection and sheer virtuosity, otherwise you would not be doing justice to it.
Makes you glad to be alive when you can hear this kind of composition played by this kind of player. Can anyone else hear the 'orchestra' in the back-ground?
When he plays the Rodrigo the piece, the guitar, and the player all become one. I was never motivated to learn Rodrigo's music before I listened to Marcin Dylla's performance.
Desagradable escuchar el sonido de los flashes de las cámaras de los fotógrafos, cuando no es alguien tosiendo son los fotógrafos, peor en fin. Un obra excelente interpretada magistralmente, gracias a quien lo haya subido.
it always amazes me wheN i see idiots who dislike playing that is so strong and clear and pasionate, what he buzed one or two notes so wHat...grow up listen to the music flowing its BEAUTIFUL..
Love the comment ... everything so massaged in studio today it all sounds like Cheez Whiz ... BTW it's not a Torres copy by Daryl Perry, it's his concert model, 650mm scale spruce/Brazilian. The rosette is modeled on Simplicio's (who influenced Daryl's bracing & plantilla). I have one of Daryl's full Simplicio copies. Cheers
I love his tone and the projection of his guitar. The pieces are played very beautifully and he manages the dynamics REALLY well. The only thing he is missing to be perfect, is to stop over exaggerating his hand movements during the slow movements of the pieces. The "Ballet Dancer" hand moves I've seen him do in other videos are just a bit too much. But I guess there HAD to be something not-perfect about him. He reminds me of Aniello Desiderio. Both a wonderful inspiration to me!
Bravo Maestro- technically not for the faint at heart, and I wouldn’t even try to play this one. Haven’t heard this since Angel Romero’s recording from the late ‘70’s. RUclips certainly makes aural and visual study of the piece available. Rodrigo’s works aren’t for everyone- can certainly appreciate the technical demands, but philosophically does it sound good on the guitar? Thanks again for a great rendition!!!
I only know it's Spanish ;) But this is still his old Teryks i guess. Couple years ago I had masterclass with him, I played finale from Ginastera's Sonata, and he picked my old Manuel Rodrigues to show me somethin and then said: "aw, ur guitar smells so good, it makes me wanna play Ginastera", and I was like - what to say? :D Well, he is now a little bit odd with his "spanish guitar" obsession, but I stil love him though :)

Extraordinaria presentación, Maestro, digna de Rodrigo sin lugar a dudas.
Felicitaciones
Marcin Dylla is one of the best guitarist in my opinion, his performance is perfect
perfect is the word that makes me hate your comment. doesn't rime with music.

In my opinin he play technically perfekt, but a little bit to romantic in some moments. For the piece needs more fire.

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful performance!

This is JUST wonderful! I love that there is such talent in this world. Thank you for posting this.

Brilliant! This is easily THEE best interpretation I have heard of this piece!!!!!!!

Very beautifull performance!!. He's one of the best guitarist in the world...
7:26 Holy crap! Let me just throw a fugue in there for the hell of it. Wow.

As always Marcyn Dilla played this piece so beautifully and moving. He is one of my most favorite guitarist. Thank you for sharing this.
The Fandango is really a hard piece to play, he's a master.
the next two are equally or more difficult. those are some bad-ass pieces.
i can actually perform the zapateado. is the fandango much harder?
Hold my beer.
@@rosgill6I think zapateado is the easiest of the three. Imo fandango is hardest until you get to the fugue section of the passacaglia.
@@jr1648 is that the really fast paced part? that's the only part I have learned of the passacaglia. it's amazing and very difficult
Formidable interpretación Maestro !!!!

Excellent, Marcin. This, of course, comes as no surprise :-) Looking forward to listening to your guitar during the Silesian Guitar Autumn in Tychy!
