Mary S was the first to ask and this is the advice I gave her I haven't tried it myself but that is how I would do it if i was going to Your last increase round is ....round 36 - shell into the next 5 spaces inc into the next You could try following the increase sequence and go back to round 11 and - shell into the next 6 shells, increase into the next Then follow the instructions from there.. Mary's feedback I just wanted you to know I'm up to row 50 and it is working out as you said! I'm doing an increase row every 5th row (shell in next 6, 7, 8 and so on) and 4 rows of round 7 (no increases) in between
I’m working on this and it’s lovely. You’ve given the same advice on how to make it bigger and I want to make sure I’m understanding. To make it larger after around 36 go back to round 11 and repeat the pattern from round 11 up to round 36 again. Is this right?
Hello Kelly, so sorry for the slow reply, a heap of comments went missing and they just appeared in my inbox.....3 weeks later/ Maybe they went the scenic route to my emails LOL Yes that is correct what you asked
I am currently crocheting this blanket/rug using Lion Brand Ice Cream in Parfait. I am on my second skein and would like to know how many skeins more I will need to finish it. I'm up to row 29 so far
It depends on how big you would like your blanket. Since that yarn is a lighter weight yarn closer to a DK/8ply, you will need several skeins of the yarn to make the blanket a standard size. I used almost 5 or 6 balls that were 7oz each and the yarn you have is half that so you will definitely need many more to make it the same size. I would just keep going until the blanket is as big as you like.
Clare I love all your tutorials. I would like to ask if you think this rug would turn out okay using worsted variegated cotton? It's by sugar and cream in a faded denim. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your lessons.
Yes I think it would , just remember the rules about it curling :) Tips and tricks are available on the website post www.bobwilson123.org/home/welcome-to-my-1st-cal-crochet-a-long
if you would like to make your rug bigger you can find information about tips in this old blog post about it. www.bobwilson123.org/home/archives/02-2015

I love this pattern! I'm new to crochet and I think it's turning out fabulous! I do have a question. when using different colors do you always make sure they use the same hook size?
+bobwilson123 thank you! That's what I've done wrong. I'm way too far into the project to take out but it still looks wonderful! and such a simple pattern!
Hello, Kat, sorry for the slow reply, drowning in comments here :) 2 hours after I started them and here I am :) Would you be able to send me a clear photo of what is happening ? bobwilson123@hotmail.com.au

Yes :)
If it starts curling and you leave it can you just block it at the end

Judy Rogers Hi, Mikey from the Crochet Crowd has already made a tutorial on this throw. ruclips.net/video/FoVGfQeMZGQ/видео.html
I love this pattern! I'm new to crochet and I think it's turning out fabulous! I do have a question. when using different colors do you always make sure they use the same hook size?
+Brooke Cress Hello, Yes, all your yarn will be the same thickness and you will use the same size crochet hook :)
+bobwilson123 thank you! That's what I've done wrong. I'm way too far into the project to take out but it still looks wonderful! and such a simple pattern!
bobwilson123 ~*~ I am stuck on row 15 the first four shells end up at the end with a increase is that right?~*~
My rug seems to be ok laying flat but its going a bit fluted? any suggestions please?
Hello, Kat, sorry for the slow reply, drowning in comments here :) 2 hours after I started them and here I am :)
Would you be able to send me a clear photo of what is happening ? bobwilson123@hotmail.com.au
I followed your pattern
The last rounds you said to do a shell in each space for rows 27-30 but at the end of the video you said you did 4 rows so is row 31 the same also?
Hello Jessica Prieto Yes rounds 27 28 29 and 30 :) 4 rounds of shell in each :)
instead of taking out round 7 repeat rows to avoid rolling up i added 1 chain in between every shell in the second rows of repeat
Thank you for your great feedback and happy crochet
