I love this…so much abundance in one quilt. I love the idea of naming it for your grandmother. I also thought of “The Eve” or “The Eva” as a reference to the archetypal garden. Or someone in your life who is the master gardener. Which ever story rings truest for you! 😊 I have to say you are definitely part of my inspiration to collect so.many.embroideries because LOOK at one one can do with it all! 😍 😍 😍 We could never get bored watching you appliqué! ❤ 🌸Kate
Hi Kate, every morning I tune in to see what's new in the nest. ❤ Never disappointed, such lovely stitching! You say, "each quilt is a story"...we should all adopt that purpose in our stitching, making each piece so personal and full of memories for us as well as the recipients of our gifts. Interesting that you mentioned your husband was going out to the garden, perhaps his name could be added to "the garden" for the name of this quilt. ❤ Linda from Arizona
Hello Linda from Arizona. So lovely to hear from you. I appreciate your lovely thoughts so much - you've got me thinking now! Sending blessings, sincerely, Kate😊❤❤
Good evening. Watching this for a second time today....oooo more of the sleeves showing..loving it. Find it all fascinating....I have always had a needle in my hand BUT alot of the slow stitching I have seen is blah in colours...shashiko? Anyhoo your us of colours and the way you stitch and highlights you stitch have really changed the way I look at it all. Just doing your own thing as you see it. The only way to live. Have a great day...evening...Sunday night here..guess Monday at your end. Stay well. 😘 Canada

Hi Kate , The Betty No 1 so why don’t you try naming quilts after ladies names like this quilt is No 2 so why don’t you name this quilt after your Grandmother or your own Christian name so that gives you 26 names to think of - - just keep track in a book No 1 Betty No 2 ,,, No 3 could be something “A” or whatever like you could have more than one name or initial - …. Ellen ,Fluer, Sarah , Rachel , Judy or Julie , Lulu , , Bec , Missy Mades; You could make a quilt for your sons - “Bob” tartans,,; or just a Bbq motive ??? You can decide … suggestion only … Happy stitching ‘ !!!!!!! 🌠 Holiday memories - living in USa ,,, Hawaii 🌼🌸
