Now if I compare the KA17 to the FC3 it sounds veiled and unsatisfactory (but on the other hand I still haven't tried it with aux power and Desktop Mode, and I haven't compared firmwares 0.99 and 2.00 which some people say have a different sound because of the changes FiiO have made to avoid self-shutdowns due to overheating).
Hello Andy, wich differences did you say there are between the M1P, ka13 and PD5 in terms of percived sound for a non expert? Wich is the better to pair it with artti t10 at same price? Also, between the Tp20, PD4 and DC03 pro same price? Thank you for all of your work and help
M1P is the richest, denser, most analog and smoothest compared to KA13 or PD5. PD5 is the most technical among the three. KA13 is like somewhere in the middle of them. TP20 and DC03Pro offers almost identical energetic vibrant sound and PD4 takes it a bit more with more power, all three exhibit the same Hi-Fi sound with some mild coloration (except that TP20 is more neutral)
I would not pair my MP145 with this one, the results will be a bit too analytical and borderline sterile sounding, but you do get lots of macro and micro details
Hi andy just got the onix and still going thru it. Yeah it sounds a lot different from the fc6. It's airy and more detailed than the fc6 but I must be doing something wrong with the settings it's not as strong as I hear it compared to the fc4. Pls guide me. Thanks
Are you running 4.4mm BAL with High Gain? do you use USB Exclusive mode? have you maxed out the volume on the host? do it right and there's tons of power from that ONIX Alpha
Yes I'm.running on both 4.4 and 3.5. If on exclusive mode. It's is powerful. I actually meant if on streaming.. how do I increase volume since if on streaming the exclusive won't work. Like in hiby app also.
I already uploaded the eddict app actually. And yeah you're right bout the sound. It's so airy and detailed even for iems that are weak on the highs region.
Finally a dongle manufacturer including a Quality cable with it
It looks just like the cable that came with the iBasso DC04 pro. That wasn't very good. Very interference prone.

That would be ROSELSA9039, both KA17 and DC06Pro are dynamically enhanced while this 9039 is outright flat transparent (no boosting)

Yes it does, you get amazing resolution and imaging for the JT1, but also remember that some songs may appear a little brighter too

That means your source is weak when streamed, you need to find out how to max out the volume for the stream itself
