I've been waiting for Team Ninja to adapt European martial arts. Now for a game with the same setting

Yasuda did say that he wanted to make a game based on Celtic mythology. That might very well be the next game Team Ninja makes.

@@brightsuperstition curiously the most refined form of hema is on spain and they have a lot of interesting styles history and lore, for example the spaniard Lasquenetes on weapons a type of longsword, on history you have the empire that withstood and defeated for centuries from the muslim invasions something that you have seen failing by the english speaking empires of today, and on lore you can go from the interesting world that they have even stories like Shogun make more sense with the spaniard sailor instead of the English one they used, but in order to avoid controversies I would say Blasphemous, Soul Calibur and Assassin's Creed II.

Huge missed opportunity for twirly moves like Kubira Vortex to have built in i-frames for each spin like demon dance for Tonfas.

Mumyo-ryu, Yagyu Shikage-ryu, Shinto-ryo, and of course: US training

Curiously enough americans training with western warriors modernized many of their martial arts and made them more battle oriented.

They definitely should try something similar to Wo Long but with the song of Volsungs and the song of Nibelungs.
