@@elbaldy1946As a Liverpool fan, what I saw today was an Ipswich team that wanted to prove a point. You are not here to simply make up the numbers, you are here to compete. And for good spells of that game you did. Keep up that momentum and you'll have a good season.
Liverpool supporter here. McKenna has them playing fearless. That’s a double edged sword sometimes for a newly promoted side. I would love to see them stay up. Luton tried it last season. I was sad to see them go back down.
Considering 7 of our starting 11 were playing in league one just 15 months ago they did great. It’s actually a good thing getting a couple of impossible games out the way while we are still building a PL squad. Such a shame that Broadhead , Hirst and now Burns have all picked up injuries though.
To put things into perspective, most of our ITFC players were League 1 players only two seasons back & were making their Premier League debut today against one of our best, established & a much bigger City team! Therefore it is obviously a huge step in class for these Ipswich players & with also the new players coming in to add quality to the squad, it'll a while to gel the team/squad together & so in this context, no embarrassment at all in losing to Liverpool today!
I am old enough to remember when Ipswich were one of our main rivals for the old 1st Division Title back in the '70's. They had a formidable team, seriously. And I also think that they won a European trophy too. I think they will do well in the Premier League this season. As for us, Liverpool? No signings so far. And what worries me is if that continues to be the case, then any injuries we get will cause us serious problems due to lack of depth.
Yes, we had a really great team. Would have done even better if we’d had the size of squad that our competitors had. We simply ran out of players at the end of the season!
Yes and won the FA cup, UEFA cup and came second twice under Robson but would have won the treble if it wasn’t for having injuries and playing 63 games in 1981. Won the league championship under Alf Ramsey too. A proper football club from a small town.
Ipswich just need to make sure they don’t just turn up against Liverpool because it’s first game of the season, show the same passion and enthusiasm against every other club for every fixture and they will 100% stay up, the fitness levels will improve so they’ll be able to survive longer
@@simonlewis720and that is all the reason your fans are the quietest we’ve seen in the last 3 years. You also had an extra allocation of 1k because we are now PL and you guys were still plastic.
17th should be the aim for them There is no chance they have a shot to finish anything higher I think it will be a miracle to keep them up with that squad
We lose to one of the most successful teams on the planet, Liverpool 2-0 opening day. N*rwich lose to, never been in the championship Oxford Utd 2-0 opening day. Hope they can stay up first half was decent from Ipswich good luck lads
I’m a Liverpool fan , Ipswich played like a decent prem team in the first half

@@MadLFCThank You, hopefully we can stay up 🙏💙🤍
Ipswich played 1st match in premiere League without experience.
Unfortunately a football game is 90 minutes Ipswich ran out of steam in the second half
I love the fact hes honest and doesnt think we were good in the 2nd half

Losing Hirst and Broadhead to injury was a bitter blow, think those two were more PL ready from last seasons' players.

Ipswich would follow this man into war, team and town both.

Ipswich need a couple of players more. Also they have to score when they are in the game as they were in the first half.
Ipswich Town done well 👌 👏 we have super kieran mckenna blue army 💙
I totally agree with Kieron McKenna 😊
Congratulations to Liverpool, and hope their fans have a safe journey back to Essex 👌👋🏻
We come from all over the world my friend, that’s why we are a massive global club
All the best for the season for passionate Ipswich.
Come on lad. Don't be bitter
@@kem1036 no problem with genuine Liverpool supporters from the local area, but not all the glory hunters 🤡

Very well spoken
Ipswich should bring much quality player into their team.
They have, look at the transfer window
08:50 what was that all about?
He asked if Town had a possible loan player called Cujuste in the stands watching the game.
What was the comment at 8:56 about?
About whether a Swedish player Ipswich are hoping to sign was in attendance.
It was a question about Jens Cajuste, a midfielder we're rumoured to be getting from Napoli on loan.
We do go about our business trying to avoid the drama on the build up to signing a player, he's in now for the season so that's a bonus
Ipswich played great for one half, but fell apart in the second. Liverpool played through them way too easy.

Ipswich are the new Luton! 😂
shame you going to get sacked for back to back promotions when Ipswitch is back where they belong
I think I just scraped a troll off my shoe.
What happens when slot gets sacked
Next time you try to troll, try doing it in English 👍
That just sound like a bitter and jealous budgie fan lol. Their Pinkun forum has an entire thread devoted to Ipswich. How sad is that?
