    I don't think the sisters are completely horrible people. Their early years were awful. Both parents were alcoholics and then the girls got shoved into an orphanage. I have never heard of good, loving care in any orphanage! They did not grow up with him so they don't feel a bond with him probably. He did cause trouble and was drinking heavily when that one sister took him in but she had kids. I sure wouldn't want that behaviour around my kids either.
    I hope he can get his knee fixed and get his documents and then move on with his life, though he does need rehab and training really. It's a sad story. Alcohol has ruined millions of lives.

      Agree with much of this. Another factor I think is with Sergei's channel becoming so big, the relatives of many he tries to help are likely to be subjected to masses of negative comments not only here on youtube, but also IRL from neighbours in their small towns and villages, as only one side of the story is told in the first video that gets uploaded. This might help explain some of the defensiveness/unwillingness to co-operate/strange behaviour we've seen from relatives in videos lately.

      @@sallyal5266 I recently ran across this random quote yesterday and it simply made me tear up. - Having people that love you is one thing. But having people who still love you when you’re a burden, still love you when things are a mess, still love you when you’re in the wrong…those are your people. To truly be loved is to still be loved when it’s inconvenient to love you.

    • @animaanimus8011
      @animaanimus8011 26 дней назад

      I think it’s important to understand that their “bad seasons” were likely much worse than yours. Additionally, they are much older, and raised in orphanages while he had their parents. These orphanages split up the children. He is like an alcoholic stranger to them. I feel for him. But those of us who are disabled (including myself) must also be held accountable for our poor behavior. Would you let me move into your home when you could barely feed and house your own children? I grew up without running water, heat, and electricity. I know survival. And sometimes blood is not thicker than water. The STATE should be caring for their brother. NOT HIS SISTERS. Unless you have endured extreme poverty I don’t think you can fully understand.

    All these people judging the sister.. think on this. She did not have a parent, and she did not know her brother. She took responsibility for him when no one else would. Being a caregiver is hard work at the best of times. Caring for a person with mental illness, rebelliousness or substance abuse problems makes it even harder. This woman is raising her three children, her husband has died, she's had her brother living with her. I find it amazing and apparently its a universal expectation that caregivers should care for everyone else and deny Their own needs and in this instance.. the needs of her own children. I suspect the sisters will help to get the paperwork if only to get some freedom themselves. the fact they cared for him to more recent times is commendable. A test of endurance. This is why in the west we have 'facilities' (not enough of them obviously). A bit of fact here too.. caregivers have a shortened life expectancy.

    • @IAMGiftbearer
      @IAMGiftbearer 4 месяца назад +3

      Facilities are worse. The careivers there are underpaid and since they are not relatives many of them resent taking care of someone else's. Abuse and neglect are rampant. Usually it is better to make arrangements to take care of relatives even if several family members have to take turns. Relying on facilities is not a good or safe solution. I used to work as a patient advocate to investigate those places and I have seen alot of horrendous situations. In fact I had a friend whose mother got a bedsore because she was not being turned and changed often enough and it went to the bone and killed her. That is an excruciating way to die. Imagine being left to rot in your own filth. That is inexcusable and inhumane. The elderly and disabled are treated like crap in America.

    It's great that you showed kindness to this man. It's so hard for children of alcoholic parents that are then put in orphanages in Russia. As I said before, I adopted a family of 6 children from the Pskov region of Russia, and they are all full siblings. Their birthparents were alcoholics too, and the children starved and were without heat. They would be left alone at very young ages of 3 and 4 for many days while the birthparents drank. Now, these 6 children of mine are grown up, and all of them are successful. None of them drink alcohol, and they are all professionals in their job fields from scientists to business owners. I am a grandmother to 6 of their children with more to come. Their memories of Russia are difficult ones, but they are happy and free now. Of cause people will judge her if they see this, she doesn't even want to try to do the right thing and help him. Its not just in Russia that the care of the disabled is disproportionately put on the shoulders of the immediate family. The community and the state should be helping with resources for the disabled. I don’t think it was fair of you to target the sisters. No wonder they were angry. Has he any brothers you would have targeted with the same line of questions? Why should the women on his family be targeted to feel guilty about his care. They must have their own struggles too which we have to be sympathetic with.

    This story is as bad as a tv soap. He needs help. Period. That family has full of grudges and keep thinking about it when his name comes around. Help him out and he will not be in your life anymore. 《What is there for me ...》. First sentence that came out of her mouth. Such hate family feelings are not just in Russia.

God forgive them, they were never raised as family, they’re angry because their parents kept him. It was even worse for him. You Sergei aren’t shaming them, they are doing it all by themselves. I think this young man needs to own up for his own mistakes. He would not have been in this situation if he would not have been so rebellious as a teen. I think the sisters will help out as best as they can to solve the documentation problem. But after that, he needs to take responsibility for himself. I know he will need your help for awhile but then he needs to get on with his own life. His sister has her own family to raise and take care of, without a husband, at this point.

    Sometimes even Us disabled people need to Suck It Up and figure out a way to Do what you need to Do. I get it, im in far worse condition than him... it was my Mindset that got me going, im not one to be defeated, I knew I had a long road ahead of me, knew it would take time, Years even, and it did. Took me 7-8 years of daily struggle to do basic things like getting dressed, cooking etc. Now I can walk 10km per day, I went from Crawling everywhere to being able to walk my butt around the country side. You have to learn to use what you Do have and figure it out. Once you get the mindset of "This wont stop me" then youre golden. Mind over Matter. knowing your limits and Adapting is Key. He will be alright if he stays Can and smartens up as they say here. Good Luck mate. Cheers.

      In my country the social services would be onto any parent who allows their children to be exposed to an alcoholic, family or not. I expect you have a good enough economy too to not understand the economic burden of an extra irresponsible person. They tried, he failed. It causes resentment. Being told by a stranger to jump at a moment's notice for someone who didn't try earlier is upsetting. I think they will get the documents sorted once the demand has settled down in their thoughts.

However I do agree that some assistance with sorting out his identity etc would enable others to help her brother thus taking the expectation the she should do so off her.I hope a solution is found and PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT JUDGING OTHERS A 15 MINUTE VIDEO is a small snapshot and GOD BLESS ALL. Growing up in an orphanage definitely traumatises children one way or another.
    My grandmother and her sisters where brought up in an orphanage run by the nuns in rural Ireland years ago .. she did NOT have pleasant memories!
    The nuns where violent,cold bullys . And even decade's later you could still see the toll it took on her.
    I can also understand the sisters frustrations, they have alot to deal with themselves and tried to help the brother and he was acting out I feel sorry for vitya but I understand where his sister's are coming from too. I have an aunty like vitya gets really drunk and then she tries to clean the house and falls down or breaks things ,gets locked out of you house.
    But I also feel sorry my my aunty as she is a traumatized person but there's only so much you can talk to her about her drinking she gets defensive and shouts so we don't bother anymore , we leave her to it . We will always be there if she needs us ,gets sick etc but she won't stop drinking despite the doctors telling her too. Plus you would never think by looking at her , she's super glamorous,hair and nails always done ,nice car, nice clothes , very well dressed ,very well spoken she had a really great job, travelled and lived all over the world and now's she's retired,just drunk and angry all the time .
    So I can understand from both sides and it's a hard situation to want to help your family but you also are angry watching them drink their life away.

    So you have the problem - the State, doesn't give a guvna. but the family? People work for the State, but the State doesn't work for them. So... well, they have their own problems - their lives are hard enough without 'dead weight'.
    So in Soviet times, the family was everything, but that system was destroyed by the post Soviet years. People became cruel to survive. Eta Rasiya.
    In the 90's - Imagine if you worked as normal, but haven't been paid for months - and there's no likelihood you will be paid at all. In fact you aren't going to be paid. Some 'Raspberry Jacket' has stolen all your wages. This is going to affect your mentality - permanently. You have worked. But you will get nothing for that work - you are f**ked. Through no fault of your own.
    The trauma of that, you pass on to your children, and so on, and so on.

    Sergi, this isn't a case you can just throw money or physical things at. These are functioning adults that need guidance to work through the family dynamics. There needs to be a family meeting, including the two siblings from Moscow region. They need to stop all the blaming, arguing, and disagreement of the past. Figure out what's needed for the youngest's future: documents, passport, etc. Identify the resources they have or don't have and decide on responsibilities for moving forward. FAMILY includes each of them; one shouldn't just be pushed out, but if there is true reason to do so, get the brother properly assigned with the government so he will at least get disability pension.
